It's time for something new.
How about a set of "Light It Up Cheers"
As in "Light it up Panthers Light it Up"
or just "Light It Up" clap clap, "Light It Up"
These can be followed when a basket is scored by either
He lit it up (three times pointing to the player) or
(insert players name) Lit It Up (three times also pointing to the player
Before Free throws
Light It Up (insert players name) Light It Up
There easy, can develop a powerful rthymn, and as far as I know no one else is doing this.

Actually I attended a Buck's game earlier this year and heard that song. I thought it would make a great cheer. It can even be done with people taking fake jump shots to give the section something to do.
After all when you think of the really hot student sections you notice that their cheers are often accompanied by something they do with their hands, or bodies.

for those attending the UIC game chant "punch your players", or something on that note......im sure its something he totally regrets and it would definatley embarass me if the visitors started chanting that in front of my home crowd.....

Someone should get a board call it the Jimmy Collins Punch O' Meter, with all of the UIC players names on it. When the player makes a mistake, turnover, or something you could pin or stick a big fist on it ala the "K" signs at baseball games. That may be hard to do or keep track of though, but I think it would be funny.
OR
When the player makes a mistake just chant "You're getting punched"
Now when UIC is visiting the cell the band should be playing the theme to Rocky when they introduce JC!!

After watching the Capitol One Bowl yesterday I'm not sure that getting on the coach is a good idea. Look at how fired up the Badgers were for their coach. Sure it was different circumstances, but getting on Collins could backfire.

The "Light it up" song IS Milwaukee. I think it'd fit very well with our team.
"BOOOO... light it up light it up! TUCCCKKERR light it up light it up... "
man that'd be cool

we'd have to change the chorus... who's gonna win it? the panthers, the panthers! = too many syllables who's gonna win it ? the black, the gold! maybe?
also with the who's house cheer, as i attended mps schools for many years, the correct response should be M-House (M as in Milwaukee) like V(vincent) or K(king) - House. not the generic "our house" response.

I was thinking of singing, that would be hard to organize. I was thinking of chants
But you can certainly do a "Light It Up Tucker, AT etc. cheer as they are introduced, not that they'd hear that given the volumne of the music

I say that we should get the entire student section to yell "LIGHT IT UP LIGHT IT UP" right after a Panther's name is announced after a basket... everytime. It would keep people active and alert and that's always a very good thing.

"LIGHT IT UP LIGHT IT UP"

Just thought of one for the Detroit game ....
"Let's go bowling!!" .. in referrence to Brandon Bell, who injured himself bowling and is out for the year.

i could try dressing up like Walter Sobchak (sp?). i've got the beard and gut but there's no way in hell i'm growing a flat-top. and it'd probably be in my best interest to not bring a gun. i could make a sign saying "Brandon that was a lane violation".
