I've actually been pretty easy on this coaching staff for a few years because there has been (albeit) moderate improvement since the '06-'07 debacle. Hard not to improve on 9-22 unless the coach is Rick Cobb. However, the standard around here shouldn't be improvement, it should be playing in the HL Championship nearly every year and winning it once in a while. Jeter knew the bar had been raised when he took the job so I don't have a lot of sympathy for him.
Regarding Marquette, a high-low game with Franklin and Eayrs would be wise. Even though Lumber has been awful from the field the last few games, he's proven he can shoot it, unlike most of the other players we have out there now. You are correct that if no one can hit a three it won't matter, but the guys need to be executing a strategy that gives them the best opportunity to win.

I just won free tickets via Twitter..so the score doesn't matter. I hope we shoot around 70% and keep it within 10

I'll just add that if Franklin and Eayrs aren't on the block posting up right off the bat - as a number of us have said they should in other threads - I will seriously question the gameplanning and intelligence of this coaching staff. Any advantage versus Marquette must be taken advantage of from the opening tip on. That's the same way I felt at the Loyola game. When my wife starts question what type of offense there running, it's not just me seeing things. If Eayrs gets his outside shot going. Tony can stay out of foul trouble and Ricky is on, we can make it a game. As far as us winning, I'd have to see it to dream it.

I wouldn't compare trivial club football scores to a division 1 basketball score. Nothing against our great club football team, but stick with actual D1 sports when comparing scores.

To me the key for Marquette will be their quickness and atheleticism. I can see this causing big problems in us getting uncontested shots. And when you problems hitting uncontested shots, hitting shots with guys in your face is going to be a problem. I have a bad feeling about this, not as bad as the Shannon Smith/Otto mcDuffie game but bad.

you guys (uwm) will have a real shot at us (mu)... MU will be on a roller coaster all year....
Regardless... best of luck tomorrow night and the rest of the year.
One thing is for sure uwm has one hell of director of bball ops (one of my former coaches).

How about the fact UWM has nobody who can guard Lazar?
This thing will be 25 points at best.

You guys need to cut yourself some slack. MU has laid a complete and very large egg in the 2nd half of each of the last 2 games --blowing a 2nd half 17 and 11 pt lead respectively. MU allowed 71% shooting in the 2nd half of the NCSt game!!
I would agree that MU should win this gameand likely by 10+, but UWM is by no means out of the conversation. If the MU team that played Michigan shows up, UWM is in trouble, if the team that played Florida St and NCSt, not so much!
Good luck, hopefully a bunch of you guys will be at the BC tomorrow which will make for a great atmosphere. Good luck the rest of the way.

Over/Under on Butler and Hayward dunks set at 10. I'll take the under just because Hayward won't play much when this game is over at halftime. MU 100 Milwaukee 62 about as ugly as it gets with MU wanting to atone for their last game and having much better athletes.

We've entered the bizarro world where Milwaukee fans are praising Marquette and Marquette fans cutting Milwaukee some slack. My how the worm has turned here in a very short period of time.

The only way UWM wins is if Marquette doesn't show up due to snow. MU 88 UWM 59

Wow....I'm pretty down right now but I dont think we lose by 30 points in this game nor do I think we give up 100 points. I feel like this one will be over early in the 1st half but I think final score winds up being something close to a 15 to 20 point loss with it being around 80 something to 60 something.
