Really? Last year's #52 team in the RPI returns it's NBA level center, and that's a reach?
They lost 2 of their top 3 players from last year. Their PG Jones averaged over 12 points and 6 assists a game. Their SF Nelson averaged over 12 and 6 rebounds a game. That NBA center is going to struggle if no one can score from outside. It is pretty easy to play zone and pack the middle to keep the ball out of the hands of a good post if a team has no outside game. That is how WSU beat Detroit twice last year even though we had no inside game.

I had to look it up. Oakland was #52 in the CBS Sportline RPI, WOW!! That just shows in how the RPI is overrated. Oakland only had two wins over the RPI top 100. That was IUPUI ( twice) ranked #83 and Oakland was 17-1 versus the above the RPI top 200.
