In the comments of that tweet, people mention Kent Dernbach from UW-L. Apparently some connection to the GB administration? Not sure if that's true, but an interesting thought.

No offense intended, but there's positively nothing on Dernbach's resume (three years as an assistant at NIU; two trips to the WIAC semifinals?!) to suggest that he is a better, more qualified alternative to, you know, the guy that they had under contract for the next SIX years!!!!

Hahahaha no that guy's totally trying to speak it into existence. I think he knows Dernbach
As the guy who talked Jeter to WIU into existence, I respect what he's going for but...I wouldn't take it as gospel

The three best options would appear to be Foster, Johnson and Cook. I just can't see Soderberg taking a nearly 50% reduction in pay, but he would also be a decent choice.

Once Will emerged as a candidate, he seemed to make as much sense as anyone. Word on the street is that he's pretty well connected.

The original two offers made to Ryan were four years at $200,000 per season or six years at $175,000 each.

who knows if he has some of his dads coaching chops. its rare: see tony Bennett, but sometimes it does happen that the son of a great coach becomes a great coach himself.

Sounds like 6 years at $175,000 per year. Seems like a good deal for both parties.
