Actually I think that might have been the 3rd season in a row that the band had made a girls team member cry. Singling out works. It works for girls games AND it works for guys. We used to have star players benched in the first half because they couldn't get anything going. The panther band game plan WAS as follows: Scream like bloody hell at the opp's first posession until they score. (pretty much like what the student section has been doing lately at end game rallies) Then single out one player (not a point gaurd) who you think will get the ball a lot and scream bloody murder the moment he/she touches the ball until the moment he/she lets go (either to shoot or pass). Have a sub ready when he/she is benched. Its got to be all together immediate starts and stops though - easier to accomplish with only 25 band members. Not that I'm really worried about losing at home, but if we can get this going, NOBODY will be able to beat us in Milwaukee.
Go Panthers! Go Band!
p.s. What was that really frigin sweet chant at the end of the Lay game on Thursday right near the end. . I can't remember what it was, but I remember thinking it was the best and most original chant I had heard all year...
