Has anyone heard anything about him lately? There are rumors floating around that he may have gotten himself in trouble However, I don't know how true these rumors are, as it has not been reported on the local papers, newwebsites, etc. yet (to my knowledge). EDIT: Charges have been filed against him on 5/10/2004. He has been charged with 1 count of Retail Theft - Alter Price (<=$2500) Statute 943.50(1M)(A) Severity: Misd. A Date of offense: 4/13/2004

Considering all the crap you hear Badger players getting into, to me, this offense pales in comparison. Certainly there is no excuse for him doing this, let's hope he takes the experience, learns from it and puts it behind him. On another note, had a great conversation with Los yesterday...he mentioned coach P is working to try and help hook him up to play overseas, but he's also looking at "real world" issues and trying to hook up a marketing gig, possibly with the NCAA or HL. Talked about some of the new guys for next year and he was really pumped about Passley...said he could compete right away for a starting spot. Los said AP came up and ran a couple times and he was awesome. He also had good things to say about Hanson, although a little undersized (how's that different from Hill? ) but has a nice shot. If you know of any jobs for him, get in touch!!

I didn't mean to sound like I was passing judgement on Dupree - since none of us know the specifics of what happened, that would definitely be jumping the gun a bit. I was just curious to see what was happening with him, as rumors were starting to circulate. Like uwmfan, I hope he realized he messed up, gets his head back on straight, and puts this behind him. Let's be honest, we have all done things that we shouldn't have at some point in time (whether we were caught or not), especially in our late teens and early 20's. I am not saying that Dupree should get off scott free, but in the whole scheme of things this doesn't appear (initially anyways) to be a huge deal. Notwithstanding, maybe this will be a wakeup call to him that he is now "in the limelight" and what he does will be reported and watched more carefully than the "average" person. For example, look no further than Larry Harris. People get pulled over for DUI on a fairly regular basis, but they do not have their picture (mug shot) in the paper and all over the news for their first offense (blew a 0.1) - being the GM of a major sports team will draw more attention. I wish Los the best in his future endeavors, but what are his chances at making it overseas? What kind of cash is he looking at over there? Guess I had the wrong coach......

Panther 30, I think Los said coach was trying to hook him up with the European equivalent of the CBA. So maybe not the higher profile teams. He was torn about it because he said he really still has the bug to keep playing now. As for Fletcher, I didn't take your comments as passing judgement. I agree, many a teen has done something stupid like that....(not me, of course... but my point too was that the seriousness of it is certainly not on the level you mentioned nor the examples I suggest. I think you're right, this will likely serve as a wakeup call.
