...cheer for UWGB if they made it into the NCAA tournament?
There's been some talk on here recently about who else to cheer for, besides UWM. Personally, I'm starting to soften my stance on Butler and will cheer for them, along with the Shockers from Wichita State, in the NCAA tourney.
But the question that really intrigues me is would you ever cheer for pmck and UWGB if they got hot, won the HL tourney and made it into the dance?

No of course. I would pull for the Badger before UWGB, and I hate the Badgers.
My question is why was everyone cheering them on to beat Detroit two years ago in the Horizon League Tourney?

Absolutely not.

The question should be, besides UWM, who would we most want to win the tournament?
I say Youngstown State.

Yeah, if UWM gets eliminated, I'll pull for YSU to pull off the unlikeliest of upsets.

I'd cheer for GB's women's team in the tourney, definetly. With respect to the men's team probably too, but only because of the financial implications for the league.

No way would I cheer for UWGB, not with pmck as coach and certainly not with the quality of Milwaukee kids he's been plucking the last two years. As for a conference foe to cheer for, why wouldn't you cheer for Butler to run the table and fall to Wright St. (18-8, 11-2) in the tournament title game? After all, any other Horizon League champion would only draw a No. 15 seed or a '14' at best. You want the best tournament performance by the league, right?

Not with poor man up there.
Now if say, Dick Bennett was still up there, then yes I would.

IF UWM loses in the Horizon tourney, I'm pulling for Loyola or Wright State because I'd rather see a team with a chance of an upset or at least sticking close to their first round matchup...It would be good publicity with Valpo joining the league next year and the league would earn a little more respect from the selection committee and NCAA fans alike.

Right now No, but after the 2008 season when pmck fails to meet expectations and is replaced by Gary Grzesk (you heard it hear first!!) then if the Panthers are out I would probably cheer for them.........man, I can't believe I just typed that I might cheer for Green Bay .

Not to be a stickler but let's try to remember NOT to capitalize pmck please. It gives him too much respect. That goes for you jhart, hoops and pantherfan06.... ;D
