According to the box score Swiggett didn't score any points last night, so how did he have a dunk?

Swiggett dunked on 6'11" Sims, but was called for an offensive foul. Thus, no points.

I'm still stunned by that type of a call. Granted I didn't see the game, but a guy who's 6'1" dunks on another guy whose listed at 6'11 and the 6'1" guy gets called for a charge. I know it's all about positioning but give the guy the benefit of the doubt and go with a no call.

For those who may not have been listening to the game, the call was made midway through the first half with the Panthers trailing 14-12. Both Bill and Bid alluded to the play during the postgame, with Bill saying it was the most impressive dunk he had seen by a 6-foot or shorter player since Steve Francis. Evidently, the play should have been allowed without a foul assessed to either player. According to the coaches, the official subsequently came over to the Panther bench and said that he had improperly anticipated the call.

Swiggett is listed at 6'1, but he's probably more like 5'11 according to what Bill said during the radio broadcast last night.

I'd put it this way. Charlie is even more of a six footer than Al Hanson.

It certainly sounded impressive. That's three times this season Charlie has attempted to beat his opposition at the three point line and taken it up the baseline for a dunk. I think Clay and Ed tried that a few times. Joah did too, but it rarely worked. Charlie must have some amazing speed off the dribble to fly by Pac 10, CUSA, and Big Ten guards. Once he gets use to D1 basketball, he'll have a lot of options with that kind of speed.
Adios, UWMfreak

If you get a chance, try and get to the next home game early enough to watch the guys do the 3-man, half-court weave in warm-ups.
Swiggett can get up like nobody else. Kaylan Anderson has some hops too, but he's 6'4-'6'5.
When Charlie leaves the ground he make sit look sooo easy and effortless, it's great to watch!

I have seen the dunk. It is AWESOME! Not noted, but also impressive, is the head fake Charlie put on Harris, blowing by him on the baseline before launching from outside the lane, over Sims for the dunk.
Apparantly, the official went over to our bench at the next stoppage of play and apologized for making the call.

I was on the East Side, so I stopped by the coaches offices.
It was on on videotape, not digital, so I don't know how to get a copy out. If I can, I will.

I watched that dunk at least 20 times today. It's hilarious in slow-motion because, to me, it was as if the defender was just trying to get out of there. It seemed to me that the ref had his mind made up and was just so surprised that he missed the call. It probably would've been a charge until the guy started backing off to the side as Swiggett got to the rim.
It's too bad that the clip features the ref making the charge signal in the background because this would be great promotional material. You can see a flashbulb go off as he's in the air, hopefully that picture will pop up somewhere.
