And I was just wondering to myself, "When am I going to see the blurb on "Panther Madness" in the GB Press-Gazette, written by Rob Demovsky? And no kidding Holic, that's the first thing that shot through my mind when I saw that huge pic of Coach Jeter. It's completely the opposite of what he conveys in every one of his quotes, but exactly like the "message" Boobi is trying to send to the reader... If I hadn't read the article before seeing the pic, I'd think that RJ thought our season outlook is "dreary" or worse.

And I was just wondering to myself, "When am I going to see the blurb on "Panther Madness" in the GB Press-Gazette, written by Rob Demovsky? You won't. Part of the reason is that there are more GB fans in Milwaukee than UWM fans in GB. Furthermore, the Milwaukee J/S readership covers a region far greater than the Gazette's. Thus Bobbie is doing well in covering GB's event in addition to UWM's.

We didn't even have our own JS web page until last year. And when we did, there was still UWGB stuff on it.

Just so everyone knows, the reporter does not assign the photos or the headlines that run with the story.
You're bashing the wrong person here - Bobbi's doing her job. You want exclusive coverage from a beat reporter who only writes UWM stuff? That's up to Garry Howard, not Bobbi.

This team is just unproven...the ranking means nothing.

I don't mind the prediction at all ... about what I expected. You have to prove yourselves.
Actually makes me look forward to the season more because I think they will surprise some people. The bullseye is somewhat removed ... but teams will still be up to play UWM due to the reputation the program has earned.

The point still remains that she is not an employee of the UWM Athletic Department. She writes articles for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Her job is to make those articles appeal to as many people as possible. Speaking from experience I can tell you that all this sniping at her is NOT going to help anything. I've been a reporter and the last people I ever wanted to go out of my way for were the ones who always found a reason to be critical no matter what I did.

I don't understand how this has some of you so fired up that you constantly send an e-mail to people at the JS. I mean who really cares what a newspaper thinks? Let the players and coaches prove themselves through results. I guess the JS should stop running articles about anything non Milwaukee related, that'll solve all the problems.

Please elaborate: "Butler, the Horizon League "Baby School," " Have to explain, then back to spectating. When Michael says Baby School, he means the school is lesser than we are. When I said it, I meant that many people around the league believe that the Horizon League gives special care to Butler. They say that Butler gets favorable conference scheduling, such as a six game homestand last year. It's not really apparent this year, other than the home games in conference for Butler during winter break are 2: Wright State and Youngstown State. OK, I'm done.

Well, if we do fall far this year, at least it won't be for long. Add a year of experience to all these guys, plus a double digit scorer-Big 12 Conference big man, and it'll be Happy Days again in Milwaukee. Yes, that's right people, your 2007-08 HL POY has arrived... uwmpanthers.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/101406aaa.html
