come on guys. lets calm down. everyone here is still gonna be a fan next year so we dont need the panther lovey dovey stuff. we all dig this team and it wont change anytime soon. bottom line bud hasnt had an opportunity to make a counter offer yet, rob does like it here. its been said already but really lets hear an official announcement before we go nuts. just my thoughts but i know the point of the board is discussion so negativity happens. anyways, that was just my 2 cents.
PS. I know hes not the most loved person here but its not official yet so please no one send him nasty emails that may sway him one way or the other and even if he does leave we dont have to love him but stay classy.

Did they already cover it? Not yet. They showed a clip of the story before the last commercial break though, so I'm guessing soon.

If bottom feeder WB 18 breaks this story, I'll be shocked. I almost guarantee we learn nothing new from them.

Iowa State eyeing McDermott posted: Tuesday, March 21, 2006 | Feedback
Iowa State has asked for permission to speak with Northern Iowa's Greg McDermott, according to a source close to the situation.
The Cyclones fired Wayne Morgan Thursday and are trying to move quickly -- possibly quicker than Iowa if Hawkeyes coach Steve Alford were to go to Indiana.
McDermott just got a bump in salary up to $350,000, which is his ceiling at UNI, according to a source. His contract runs until 2011. UNI is doing everything it can to keep McDermott with the Panthers. A source said other schools have asked for permission to speak with McDermott as well.
Iowa State may also pursue Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Rob Jeter, who has a connection with ISU athletic director Jamie Pollard.

And if Rob goes are you jumping off the Panther bandwagon? Why? The jerseys say Milwaukee, not Jeter or Pearl or Ryan.
If Robbie goes, you can bet Bud has someone in mind already. Everyone is focusing on the wrong thing here. It's not a disaster that we lose coaches -- it's an affirmation that FINALLY the structure is in place by which UWM can consistently win at the big time level. Life is good, people.
