As for fan support...
I certainly expect a very pro-Florida crowd, but keep in mind that LSU plays Texas A&M in the late game. Without a doubt, the LSU fans will be supporting us, and any A&M fans who made the trip will likely be doing the same.
Also, this group of players have played in big, hostile, arenas many times before. I think the pressure will not be a factor.

It has been said before but it is crucial that we shut down Green. We did a decent job on Everett. I think this team is alot like Florida with a little more athleticism. They have two bigs and a scoring guard just like OU does. GO PANTHERS!

If you want someone Florida is similar to, look no further than Memphis. Florida has 2 bonafide lottery pick big men in Noah and Horford. While Oklahoma was big, Florida is big AND fast. Even with those guys being down low, I think the key is to stop Brewer. Screw Green and Humphrey (but pray that Humphrey is cold).
Seriously, if we can beat Florida, there is not a team in this Tournament that we shouldn't beat.

That kind of noise and hostile crowd WILL be a factor. I don't think it will be the deciding factor but there's no way that 15,000 people screaming in your face for 2 hours isn't going to affect you.

A few Florida people are bringing up the topic that, yeah Milwaukee has 5 starting seniors, but none of them are NBA caliber.
However most are basically saying Florida needs to come to play because Milwaukee is a good opponent.

for anyone who has ESPN Insider, can u post the page that gives a team report on Florida? this is all I can get from their team page (tourney related)... Will Lose When ...In the regular season, the Gators had a tough time closing out games when the score was close in the final minutes. They'll have to make more clutch plays or they won't last long in March. Famous Last WordsThis is one of Donovan's most talented teams in his time at Florida, but the Gators are young. That youth showed at clutch time this season. If the Gators learned from their regular-season mistakes, they're a team that has Elite Eight talent. If they still can't close out the close games, they could lose in the second round. sports.espn.go.com/ncb/clubhouse?event=tourney&teamId=57

This team has been the most enjoyable to watch and play with heart.

I will not use Memphis as a measuring stick since this was the first game of the year with a new coach and brand spanking new system. I'm not saying the Panthers would beat Memphis now but I doubt they would lose by 22 points.
All season long this team has been playing hard trying to find themselves and put together complete games. I'm banging the dead horse here but starting with Detriot and continuing into the HL tourney and now the Dance this team is playing their best ball which doesn't make me look past Florida but gives me confidence in this teams ability to get the job done. It will be a great game.
FYI Panthers are 7 point dawgs.

The Rowdy Reptiles is what our student section is called. I have to tell you, the crowd will be LOUD! there were only a few of them there for the SEC tourney, they were in the second tier and could still be heard on TV. I also would bet that LSU fans will be cheering for us, probably not loud, but I can't picture too many openly cheering against us. We beat them and they want us to do well. It might be difficult to fathom with how much the SEC teams have rivalries, but we do cheer for each other come Madness... unless its Tennessee lol

I agree with everyone regarding the talent of floridaand there ability to push the ball but they have been a patsy in recent tournaments....since there coming out in 2000 where they made the final four they have struggled in the tournament....i think this is something we can definetly do and we shouldnt pysche ourselves becasue they may have lottery picks...UWM plays as a team with a well rounded contribution from all who cares about an individual they can be shut down while a team can not....

You guys are actually getting a lot of respect on the gator board. I would have much rather played Oklahoma! One UWM fan commented about the free throw and foul disparity in the game, and that gator fans were making note of it. I watched most of the game and felt that it was well officiated. You guys attacked the rim agressively, which accounted for the F.T differential. I can promise you that gators respect your program, and we are looking forward to a tough battle on Saturday.

Not to offend any Gator fans, for some reason Noah doesnt scare me I think that Tigert will be able to minimize his effectiveness. For some reason I have a feeling we will be able to pull this one out.

Yes we can pull it out and it would be a major coup for us and for all mid-majors if we are able to do so. Florida has a good program and is playing on what amounts to their home court.
A UWM win would strike a dagger through the hearts of the Digger Phelps of the world and maybe even shut them up for five minutes or so.
