You guys made us look horrible tonight - you should have a good showing in the NCAA's, although I dont think many teams overlook Horizon opponents anymore! Congrats on a great season. I think the best team definitely won tonight. Hopefully you guys realize that I was just having some fun with you all before the game with all of those posts...  Represent the Horizon well! By the way, the student section looked impressive on TV tonight - although you might want to be a little more carefull when rushing the court; it looked like a few people might have gotten hurt out there on the bottom of the bottleneck!! |

that court storming pissed me off. They stopped everyone, and that's when people started falling down, LET THEM GO!!!!!!!

it was a mess. security at the cell is a joke. they choose to enforce the most rediculous rules ever. screw it, i hope everyones alright, we're dancing!

Thanks for coming back and making a classy post Atherton. You guys are always a tough team to face and you always have some damn good shooters. UWM or Butler may not be on top of the Horizon next year, but we will both back.

I was never fully confident until Nick Hansen buried that 3 from the corner. Being up 9 against Butler is like being up 3 against any other team.

Classy post bro. Mad props for coming on here after the game. I was really worried about tonight's game. You guys really shot the three ball tonight and Polk was insane!
Great team, and a great rivalry. Nothing but respect for you guys.

I hope the security was just trying to slow everyone down until the Butler players and coaches cleared the court, not stop everyone entirely. When Sheets hit his game winner at Hinkle, the court was swarmed so quick that Lettenberger about got trampled.
Just one thing for next year (heck for the NCAAs if you could turn it around that quick), please, PLEASE, get your cheerleaders some new unis! They are so hideous that Jessica Alba, Kate Bosworth and Kirsten Dunst would have a hard time looking hot in them!
At least Butler only loses three seniors (missing Polk and Sheets will hurt bad). We have a couple of good transfers who sat this year and a pretty good recruiting class. Should be in the top three or four again next year.

I find it hard to believe you guys won't get into the NIT.
I expect a home game for Butler. Isn't the NIT all about putting people in the seats? I'm sure Butler would be able to fill that place.

thanks for the kind words Atherton. the UWM/Butler rivalry has really become something special. as others have said, i didn't feel comfortable until the last couple minutes. you just never know what can happen the way Butler shoots the 3's. i hope you guys represent the Horizon well in the NIT. go knock some big boys around.
and nobody should be surprised if/when Milwaukee's right back in the mix next year. with the talent coming in, the quality juniors returning, and a great coaching staff and system... we'll be right back. we lost 7 seniors from the 02' NCAA team and we all know what happened next.

I like visiting this board because you guys have some entertaining people around... you guys get me fired up, but I know a good team when I see one, and dont mind when we get beat by a better team; although it hurts when we dont play our best game.
Anyways, I think next year could be a banner year for the conference, there are some good recruits coming in, and alot of the teams that have been underperforming the past few years should be in a good position, it should be interesting.. Although people are saying it, I have a really hard time believing that you or us would be at the bottom...
Enjoy your hangovers today!! Its worth it... ha

Don't discount the fact that Butler didn't play their best game because of things that UWM did better. Like defending the perimeter(3's), being patient on offense and playing pressure defense throughout. |
