I know you aren't talking about the ability of the waitstaff to actually provide service at the MTP. I think the service there is horrible. Goolsby's may be packed, but they do understand how to run a bar. Not so sure anymore about MTP.

This season I've become a fan of Calderone PUB, not Club. Same owner though. It's on State St. between 3rd and 4th St.
Good food, good service, fairly cheap parking right outside and post game $2 Miller taps.

I've never had a problem at MTP before games. I'd rather get a normal-sized pint of beer for $1.50 than a 10-12 oz. plastic cup of beer for $3.

MTP has horrid service. I was there for Saturday's pregame, but left since service was so slow. There was hardly anyone even in the bar. Disappointing.

MTP has the better looking staff by far, but the wait for service is just rediculous. I'll be at Goolsby's between 5:30-6 depending on how crappy traffic is on Eastbound 94.

brewtownbian and Tommy Z have it right, go to the Calderone Pup (formally Stubs Pub). I have been eating there before games and the place is usually never that packed (except for this previous Saturday with the MU game). They reserve the tables for eating, which is nice and its just a half block away from the Cell. That being said, I better be able to get a table Tuesday night

Disappointing. you should've seen it afterwards. had to wait close to 10 mins. at the bar for a beer AND they carded all of us. can't imagine why they didn't get a tip. they had 2 bartenders and 4 waitresses on a night where there were Panthers, Golden Showers, Bucks bball and the Milw. Auto Show. absolutely brilliant

I'll be drinking 2 Cap'n Cokes while playing the game on XBox as is my tradition for big games.
Represent for your out of town peeps everyone. Should be a helluva game.
