What is this "D-Board meeting" all about? Mcdade I lost your phone number when my cell phone got hocked at kickball. By the way, I know Freeways real name - not sure if this or any other message board is ready for such shocking news, however. He's put on a few pounds over the years but will still bust out his old stuff every now and then. That slow moving thumbs up thing has got to go, he needs to get back to dancing more.

for those going to Goolsby's b4 the game, there's a short article about him on the front page of their menu in that newspaper style design they have. i think his name is mentioned in it.

Can I just say it's cool as all getout that Mr. McDade is here on this board.
I remember the 50 point game, the first real UWM star, and he still loves the team.
Thanks Von.

To my fellow d-board members,
Where to begin? After rewatching the game on DVD, viewing my digital pix, checking my notes, and conferring with senior members of this board there is but one thing to say about last night's meeting: UNBELIEVABLE!
Well done! Props to pantherholic and jdbrew for being prompt, props to pnthr30 for showing up in his retro jersey, props to flamerimnotone for bringing his friends, props to fan for you know what, props to SRT4driver for taking a leave from duty (!) to show up, and props to the 114 d-board members who showed up and brought thousands of friends. For crying out loud Chewbacca showed up!
That was the most hyped up crowd I've ever been a part of for a Panther game - crazy student section. The Panther family won over some potential season ticket holders last night.
V McDade Meeting Chairman
P.S. There will be more meetings in our future. Make no mistake about it Horizon League.

T TBone, sorry to disappoint but this is not the real Von McDade! Just a rabbid Panther fan who fondly recalls the early D1 years of McDade, Greene, Mitchell, Perine, Briggs, Edmonds, and on and on and on. I'm sure Von still loves the program. I believe he played in the last alumni game.

How can I get a hold of that DVD since I just got home from work and saw that the game was taped over by my sister! UGH...worst of all, it was Days of our Lives. I was at the game last night, but I wanted to watch the telecast to hear Jay Williams compare everything to Dook. Got the 2003 game handy as well?

I'm going to try and figure out a way to post the video from my digital camera from last night. I got the last few seconds of the game and about 2 minutes of the student section storming the court. I also took the presentation of each player. When I figure this out, I'll try to put them on.

I'm sure Von still loves the program. I believe he played in the last alumni game. When is the alumni game and is it open to the public? This year's alumni game was at 10:00 AM on the day of the Bracket Buster, inside the Cell. The Gold team beat the black team by 9, partially because Ed airballed 2 three-balls in the final 2 minutes. I gave him sh*t for it. Not open to the public, so I was ecstatic to see it with my media pass - I wanted to get to the game early, I didn't even know there would be a game. A few of the players that I recognized: James Wright, Ed McCants, RJ, Nate Mielke. Being 19, my memory of UWM b-ball only goes to when i was 11-12, and even those players I couldn't put faces to names, although if you told me I would know. Dylan Page was at the game, but he didn't play because he was injured. Kaylan Anderson and Zach Holt were the refs. They made the HL officials look like Judge Mathis.

As far as I know, it is open to the public.....I use the term public loosely, as I don't know to many people in the general population who would want to watch a bunch of "old" guys run around, but I know for a fact that there have been people in attendance who have just walked in the doors (south door is usually propped open with a shoebox or something. ).
