i was surprised at some of the bad calls not given to Detroit, clearly Lecrone hates jesuit schools which is why they gave this game to loyola.

in all seriousness, the chant for tomorrow night is "Blakeback Mountain". Lou said something to this degree tonight to Schilb and he laughed. it must be done.

Sitting right next to Detroit's bench I did notice a lot of non-calls on pretty obvious hacks committed by Loyola, but I wouldn't say the refs gave them this game. Loyola showed lots of intensity on the boards, and their shots were falling while Detroit's weren't. Referees usually reward the team that is attacking the most, so Loyola benefiting from a few calls isn't surprising. Should be a good game tomorrow. I can't wait Art Vandelay

Loyola flat out won this game ... very impressed with their second half performance. And baffled by the number of fast breaks Detroit allowed.
The Cell hasn't been kind to the Titans the past 12 months.

Scary game tonight boys, scary game. Milwaukee and its fans need to bring their A game.
If GB pulls off a victory over Butler all of the Phoenix fans will become fans of LU in hopes of getting the championship at the Resch Center.
GO PANTHERS

I am an idiot and I went to buy my tickets from the dorms yesterday at 1 and they said they stopped selling them at noon. Are they going to be selling student tickets at the door?

www.greenbaypressgazette.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060304/GPG020101/603040490/1229Noteworthy: Junior forward Josh Lawrence was released from a Milwaukee-area hospital at about 8:30 p.m. Friday and returned to the team hotel. Kowalczyk said Lawrence had a concussion and will not play in today's semifinal game against Butler. Lawrence was injured with 15:54 remaining in the second half, when he got tangled with UIC center Danijel Zoric.

The Ramblers really passed the ball well last night and Schilb only had 12 points - I thought he did a nice job of looking for a cutter when he was double-teamed on the perimeter. That was a good team win for LU last night, so I don't know if I think we're quite that big a favorite, but I don't make a living at odds-making either.

Blakeback Mountain. Make it happen, students. As for the game, Detroit looked terrible. I swear there was over 15 minutes in the second half where the ball never entered the paint. They continued to settle for jump shots, and it was UGLY. I think everything went bad immediately after Detroit's cheer squad executed "The Perfect Cheer", where 2 different cheerleaders were injured. And then the ref yelled at the cheerleader, which was pathetic.
