There is some concern that recent posts have the possibility of doing damage to the basketball department, the university, or the recruiting process. This is not to insinuate that anyone is posting anything false, or malicious, but please remember that many, many people read this board, and any post can be interpreted in a number of ways. I am asking everyone to follow these rules when posting about potential recruits so as not cause any potential problems:
1. If you talked to a coach, overheard a coach, or hell, if you ARE the coach, please, DO NOT USE COACHES NAMES
2. No comments about anything that could be in any way construed as violating NCAA rules. That means no talk about players in bars, using phones, getting offered a car
, etc. Remember, it doesn’t matter if it’s true or not to create a huge PR nightmare or NCAA investigations
3. If you are not sure...DON’T POST! Remember that these are most often 17 or 18 year old teenagers who have families and friends who certainly read this and other boards. Please respect their decisions and privacy.
