So, being that these are possibly the best 4 teams playing as far as drawing fans for todays game, what are some guesses as to how many fans will be there?

i'd guess we could see crowds anywhere from 2,000 to 5,000 tonight. hard to say for sure since UWM isn't playing. you know GB will bring people, as will LU, UDM, and UIC. i'd expect, and hope, to see a fair amount of panther supporters as well. i hope it's at least half full but that might be a generous estimate.

I think that UWGB will have a good crowd, and maybe UIC also, but I think there will be about 4000-5000....but tomorrow will be the true test

Gotta remember all those season ticket holders that retained their tickets will be counted so that will be another 1,000 people to bolster attendance...but I would guess 3,000

The ticket office did a good job contacting season ticket holders to sell all session passes. I bought an extra one and they said a lot of the season ticket folks were doing that as well.

i'm curious as to how many GB fans will be there b/c according to their board the school isn't offering a fan bus for today. seems rather odd considering Detroit supposedly has one but whatever.

Surprisingly Detroit always has a nice little group of fans that travel. Mostly adults but they were also prominent at even non-tourney games back at the KC. I remember a good turnout years back when they played Butler when we made our first trip to the NCAA.

Being at the game tonight, I'd say a solid 600-700 tonight. If you count the bands and cheerleaders and the UWM men's team watching the game.

I don't know what the ticket sales were, but the actual attendance was probably 2,000 to 2,500. A little hard to tedll because most GB and probably all UIC fans left after the first game.
Tomorrow shapes up nicely, considering GB and Loyola's fan bases can easily make the drive. If GB and UWM win tomorrow, the Cell will be rafters full on Tuesday.

Pretty nice when the 2 higher seeds were getting points tonight. Good thing I redeposited last night

It just boogles my mind that UWGB fans don't support the men's team when they play in Milwaukee, especially considering how nuts they were for that team in the late 80s and early- to mid-90s. I know a 4:30 start time on Friday probably had something to do with that, but that still is a disappointing showing of their fans.
I imagine more will be on hand tomorrow, but would anyone be willing to bet that there will be more UWGB fans at Klotsche on Sunday than there will be at the Cell tomorrow?

i loved the arrogance of the GB fan directed towards Lou's way at the end of the LU/Det game. what an idiot. also the witty comebacks GB's band had for when we'd chant things at their team were amazing. what comments can one come up w/ to respond to the phrases "shut up" and "your gay"?. especially from the guy wearing the fuzzy pink hat. tool.

GB game on Friday night was a blast. Plenty of quiet moments to have the "poor man's coach k" chant heard loud and clear. A few well timed "Tillema hates diversity" calls were greatly appreciated. UWGB band is quite a homely bunch. Can't wait to see more green and red satin jackets tonight and those Packer jackets are obviously part of the uniform. Sorry, GB just rubs me the wrong way.
