true DetTitan. they did play good d for a while. i just thought the perimeter d was terrible in the last 4 minutes or so. that and the turnovers. but that's Butler bball. all they do is shoot the 3 and sometimes that's hard to stop. but i've said it all year. you live by the 3 and die by it... even 18 3's couldn't save them today.
good luck the rest of the way, and thanks again for helping us out!

Yup, sure thing for helping you out...even though I don't care for the Panthers that much, I hate Butler more. We have struggled with our perimeter defense all season long. it shows in the stats. Up near the top in ppg allowed and opp. FG% but near the bottom in opp. 3pt FG%. You guys hit 14 against us the other night, and now Butler hits 18, although that is their entire game besides Polk (who we shut down), plus some of those shots were just pure talent and were contested. I just took exception to the fact that you said that we can't play a lick of defense. Which if you followed the Titans and the HL for any period of time, you would know that is one of our staples. I hope we meet again...and this time get revenge for that phantom call on AT. ;D

i've actually been following the horizon for years and know all about detroit's quality d. it's just frustrating as hell to see butler take good defensive efforts and render them moot due to the 3-ball. but it doesn't matter, you guys hung tough and won and i'm awfully glad to have seen it.
i'd like to see the rematch too. that was an incredible game last year.

Yeah it makes me angry too that they shoot so many threes. I mean, if you choose to play basketball like that, ok, but you will eventually die by the three, and with such a good defensive effort otherwise, to have them hit shots that are sooo far out, it just makes me feel like our defensive efforts are going to nothing. You guys shoot alot of threes too, and the other night we didn't come out with enough intensity against you guys in the first half. We brought it in the second and eventually outscored you in that half, even with you guys continuing to press. We made a run last year in the tourney, and Tuesday should be a good start at Calihan.

Gotta give props to Detriot. It was a hard fought game, and one where the players could have gotten discouraged with the number of 3's Butler was hitting. They did not - congrats on the win, and THANK YOU!

Nice hand-check foul by Betko on Goode that went uncalled ...

When I first heard the call I thought "Which former Titan player is that? John Long? Terry Tyler? Terry Duerod?" Good catch in having Mahorn connected with the program.

Are you coming to Milwaukee Friday? My buddy from work will be going to the game with me. He went to Detroit.

Are you coming to Milwaukee Friday? My buddy from work will be going to the game with me. He went to Detroit. I am pretty sure I didn't say that...lol, but they did tonight! I really really really want to go, but I think I am going to visit family in DC. I really want to get out there and support my Titans.
