Obviously, a win tonight would give the Panthers at least a tie for the league championship. Would it also assure that the HT is back in Milwaukee? If we lost to Detroit and Butler won out, how does the tiebreaker work?
I wasn't able to go to the YSU game so it's been weeks since I've been to a game. Can't wait for tonight!

We have to win both if Butler wins out in order to host the Conference Tourney. They own the tiebreaker on us because we lost one to GB.

Thanks milwsport. I looked it up on the Horizon League website and came to the same conclusion. Here's the link: graphics.fansonly.com/photos/schools/hori/sports/m-baskbl/auto_pdf/trackabracket.pdfAnother reason to hate the loss up in GB. If GB loses its last game, however, at CSU, it's possible Loyola would jump them in the standings. In that case, we'd own the tiebreaker. Better that we just win the last two and remove all doubt.

We have to win both if Butler wins out in order to host the Conference Tourney. They own the tiebreaker on us because we lost one to GB. If we tie with Butler, it goes down the line starting with the third place team. If we have 2 wins against that team, and Butler only has 1, then we would be the #1 seed and host the tournament. GB will not necessarily be the 3rd or 4th place team, so they don't have any tiebreaker yet!

I have a bad feeling. HL Finals at Hinkle. 1 and done, into the NIT.
Saturday might be UGLY. We're playing the potential top guard combo in the MVC. Either way, the Bracket Buster is irrelevant.
Hope I'm wrong, UWMfreak

At least the interest in the season hasn't diminished.

Terrible loss. Now we don't control our destiny and need Butler to slip or Loyola to jump GB in the standings, Very discouraging. It makes that razor-thin loss at Hinkle all the more painful.
Three reasons we lost tonight -- Tigert's injury, horrible transition defense, and horrible free throw shooting. And UIC played out of its mind.
As for the Bracketbuster, it's nothing but an exhibition game now. If Adrian has the slightest twinge, keep him out of the game! We absolutely need him healthy for the HT, no matter where it's played.

Hard to beat a team shooting nearly 60 % of field goals

Hard to stop a team from doing that when they continually go in the paint and our inside presence on defense just isn't there.

what a terrible loss. hard to even know where to start. AT is the obvious leader and without him out there, all bets are off for what this team can do. it's a shame that these seniors let control of their fate slip away. it's inexcusable really.
i agree with what the others are saying about the BB game. it simply doesn't matter anymore. rest AT cause he's not getting healthy in 2 days and hope for the best. reality is though, if we can't stop a very average team how will we stop a decent one?

Go Loyola, YSU, and Detroit....except for next Tuesday (of course).. I hate for it to come to this. I think Butler's got a tough stretch. The close out the season at Detroit...not an easy place to play. I agree though, I hate for it to come down to this.

No reason to root for anyone but Loyola, if they win out UWM wins the tie breaker and the tourny is at the cell. That would put Loyola at 9-7 and a fourth place finish giving us the tie breaker even if we lost to Detroit on Tuesday.
