I think there are two categories of coaches to look at. First, there are the established coaches. IMO, this list is headed by Majerus and Gillen. Next, you have "up and comers" similar to Bo and Bruce (up and comers in the sense they are not current D-1, or are somewhat "low profile" guys). On this list I think there's Jack Bennett and Ron Hunter.
I don't see Bud going after someone without head coaching experience. But, choosing Tony Jones may help keep Childress here, not that doing so should be the main priority.
Out of these guys, I like Gillen or Hunter. Not too thrilled with Gillen's style of play, but definitely like Hunter's.

I have heard from sources close to the front office that Kendrick Moore is being heavily considered to replace BP. More on this as it develops.

You know he could be the next John Wooden but that will generate about as much excitment and a new Taurus.

Grunfeld needs to stay the Hell out of Milwaukee.. can we ban him from the city?.......first Ray Allen and now Bruce Pearl.. Many other factors in both cases, I know, but I nominate him as the official scapegoat. Should i start an "official" scapegoat thread...JK

If we got 700k together for Pearl, I hope Bud is smart enough to know that, just as this was a unique time for Bruce, it is a unique time for UWM basketball. Normally, I don't suppose that they would offer a new coach that much money but if there is a high profile guy they like, now would be the time to do it.
Probably enough extra salary, but why not Al Skinner? I like the irony.
