Hack, what's your problem???
Can you tell me that you aren't upset by this? It doesn't bother you in the least? You are ready to return to the days of the Klotche?

I hope that BP see's what he's worth to us here, not just more "everything" but what he means to UW-Milwaukee and the program as a whole.

I'm disappointed that he may be leaving. But if you really thought that a major job with major money couldn't lure him away, you're crazy.
Such is the life of a mid-major.

I expected that a major job would, but I never considered that the UT job was that.
That's where good coaches go to die.

Actually, he may even come in behind spring football at UT, too.

We all knew this day was going to come. Im dissapointed that were losing him but this in no way spells the end of the success of this program. We are loaded for next year again and i dont think it matters who we hire as long as these guys stay hungry and put in the work in the offseason. Lets face it, we can not compete with tennesee's money. The regents of this state charge us madison tuition and treat us like platteville. But even madison with the exception of alvarez, does not pay there coaches tennessee money. I dont know what bo makes but its not that much more than what bruce made here. Just remember bruce helped this program. But the true success came from the players. Guys like james wright, Dylan Page, Ed Mccants. They have given this university athletic creditbility and i dont see any reason this should change. Lets enjoy this success and look forward to our third straight horizon league title next year.

You're missing a poll option.
I figured Bruce would leave, but for a better job than what I perceive the Tennessee job to be.
But for all the whiners, bandwagon jumpers, you all need to chill out. Don't blame Bruce for wanting to be financially set for life. Don't blame BP for wanting the opportunity to have a decent team that doesn't win the conference championship but still has a chance to play in the dance. Don't blame him for wanting to upgrade his recruiting opportunities and put a much better team on the court. Who cares if football is the main sport at UT, followed by women's hoops. Women's volleyball and soccer were the main sports UWM was good at when BP came here. He changed that here, and I think he could change that there. It's just going to be much more difficult for him to do in such a tough conference.
Please, stop pitying yourself and our school and think about the great things Bruce has done for the school and the direction we're headed. (anybody could probably coach the team next year and do reasonably well in the conference) We've got a lot to thank BP for, not be pissed at him.

Damn it. If he leaves what the heck am I gonna do w/ all my Bruce is my homeboy t-shirts?! I really don't blame him though... Who can honestly say that they'd turn down that much money?? I'm sure this is a super hard decision for him though... At least I'd hope it would be.

this is the reality of life as a mid-major, but we're also in a position now to keep life good. the program is in excellent shape. don't forget, gonzaga lost their coach the moment they sniffed success too, we just need to find the next Mark Few... SIU has had a virtual revolving door of coaches yet continues success. we'll be fine.

Unfortunately it only took 3 days to make his move to Tenn, but we will have to wish him well and move on to another phase in building the program. Full faith must be placed in Bud's hands that he will bring in another excellent coach.
The next Homeboy shirts should say - "Our Coach is Our Homeboy for Approx. 4-5 years or until a SEC/Big Ten jobs opens." All shirts will have to be sold in XL to get the full text. ;D
Later, UWMfreak

what are we gonna do with our bruce is my homeboy buisness....we were looking forward to another season.
by the way those who ordered the special edition shirts still need to pick them up. even if he is no longer our coach those shirts celebrate this years team.
i wish bruce the best of luck and i have no hard feelings. we should thank the man for the years he has given us and the things this team and university has acomplished under him.
it may be better that he leaves us with a stacked team rather than leave us when we need to replace 7 seniors. keep your head up panther fans. we will be all right.

the 3 days is what upsets me the most. he made it out to seem taking a new job elsewhere would be a major decision for him and his family, one that I assumed would take more than 3 days (3 days is also very generous considering sunday and saturday it seemed Tennessee already knew he would be going). but our program is still growing. we have a great senior class, great recruits coming in. and I think we'll do well without BP. I wish him the best of luck at TENN and I hope I'm not the only one to say I'll be rooting them on under BP. anyone for a Orange BP is my Homeboy shirt? -n8
