Hey everyone....thanks for the support.
While I will admit that I don't like hearing things like that said about me, my only response to this kind of thing can be silence.
Take a page out of BP's book, and ignore it.
This is about .001 % of what BP will face tomorrow night, and I'm positive he will not give them the satisfaction of a response.

just a suggestion...if someone on here is flatlander66 from the illwhini board you should post this letter as an exampe of who bruce pearl really is. you can also post the jackass illinois fans insensetive responce.

no matter what that douche bag of a troll Esco thinks that was a very well written and very heart-felt post. Thank you Nighthawk for reminding everyone the way that college basketball is by far a better than that crap that the NBA tries to shovel out to poeple. Good luck to you and Zach (maybe he can work on his game and play for the Panthers one day  ) hope to see both of you guys at more and more games next season. ohh I could have some fun with the insecure jackass who posted and is now banned (thanks for that too btw). Also if he does make up another name or whatever, that one can just be banned too...its not hard.
Anyway, I couldn't agree more though, the letter was fantastic and it does show what this is all about, the people and our shared love for the panthers.

i am an illini fan and i believe that your letter towards pearl is amazingly written and the way you feel about pearl is the way that i believe most illini fans feel about weber
i know it sucks to hear people attack you, i was one of the girls who hosted caple at u of i and there is an entire thread about how ugly we all are (ouch) on illiniboard...people are nuts, dont listen to what people who hide behind a computer have to say about you, most of them are cowards
regardless, keep your head high, that letter was amazing, and there will always be people who are going to insult you, as much as every illini fan has a hard time thinking that pearl could be anything but a monster, your letter shows that all that stuff doesnt matter when it comes to the way someone treats a child who admires them and will go out of their way to make them feel special...as an illini fan i would like to say what a great post that was, way to go ;D

Big D, you have got to be kidding me, if this was the other way around you would have been calling for that person head the minute that they mentioned one negative thign about your coach or team so before you sit there and try to tell us that we are hypicrates(sp?) or whatever take the response in context, what Nighthawk wrote was in no way a negative thing to anyone (but more of a moment in which he will remeber for the rest of his life and that shows us just how open and caring some people can be) and then there preceed to be this lowly (thank you Journal Sentinal) individual, and i use the term loosely, who decides that they are going to try and rip apart this person's heart felt and emtional moment all because their parents may have had an issue with somebody 16 YEARS AGO!!!!! get down off of your high hore and take a look at it for what it really was, there was no point to personally attack someone in the way that Esco did, plain and simple.
now i would like to say, being that it is hard to convey actually feeling thru a computer this is not meant in any way to be a personal attack on you I am just saying do not think that this was not some unjustified reason to ban someone, it was with reason and hopefully that came across, I mean no disrespect toward you if it comes across that way i am sorry, but this is one of those situations where it is a bit more than a cut and cry issuse, do you not agree there with me at least?
Again I in no way mean to personally attcak you in the way that Esco tried to attack Nighthawk, it is just to me there is no reason to resort to what Esco did at all. Please take my response in the context in which this subject is in.

There is a difference between having a difference of opinion and doing so in a manner that is playful and fun for the rivalry. There is a difference between that and harassing and threatening someone for NO GOOD REASON!!!
We are here to talk about college basketball.
I can't beleive I am saying this, but in the end its a game. There are more important things in life...like the people who play the game. The game brings us together. I beleive this was the point of the letter in the first place. What the little jackass was/is doing and what he got banned for shows that as well.
I am all for free speech, but I support his banning. Your right to free speech ends at my nose.
