I think its quite obvious that all illinoians are cheaters and bad sports in general, in every level of the sporting world. could we have examples please.....if you don't mind? Or does Bruce have you guys also making allegations now without proof. For every Jimmy refusal, there has been a Bruce refusal....last year in the HL tourney finals....where was Bruce? And don't even start with "he was scared of the students celebrating"....he could've come back out like Farmer did two years before..... get over it.... oh, thought you might like to read this.... www.geocities.com/uicflamesbasketball/UICsider020505.htm

I thought the funniest part of yesterday's game was Jimmy eyeing up those Chevys in the corner.

Hello?? Sammy Sosa and the corked bat! How could you forget that? It wasn't even that long ago. Well then again being from (or for anything associated with) Illinois I should have remembered that your mental capacity is limited. plus with his performance drug use how are any of his home runs legit? and what about the 1919 white sox? they took bribes and threw the world series, the players involved were banned for life (one of CBS's top 10 cases of cheating).

Wow, you've got to be kidding me? You bring up a corked bat incident, where yes, he may have and probably did cheat, but there is no way to prove it wasn't an accident like he said....likewise, I don't believe it was proven that he used steroids (again, it's very possible he did use them). But, whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty....or do you not believe in that concept up there on the plantation? You also bring up an incident from 100 years ago and then go ahead and say that Illinois are cheaters and poor sports based on these things.....?? If that's all you can think of, I, along with every Illinoisan will expect an apology from you. I'm sorry....at some point in time in Wisconsin I bet someboday cheated or used a drug or something while playing sports.....you have to expect some bad apples in the bunch.....and for you to bring up something that happened in the early 20th century, you must really be digging hard just to support your point.

although you have to add in classless fans and subpar academics..... I love how they attack our academics when both banks and williams could not make grades in high school to play but yet they are able to in college. Dont know about the rest of you but i wish college was easier than high school for me

While this feud is not that important in retrospect, I don't think you can say we have to respect that these coaches don't like each other. I don't respect someone who can't make a simple act as a handshake. It's one thing to not like someone which is fine, but the handshake is a sign of respecting each other's efforts regardless of feelings and it's stupid that he can't even get that right.

I agree Tuck ill never understand why Bruce didnt shake Jimmy's hand after the HL game last year, I mean at least shake the players hands you owe them that much. But nothing will change the guy who wins will go out for the handshake and the other will be turned away. But lets face it if there was a hand shake you can be sure this game would not be on tv next year!

I have a few points about all the banter going back and forth. 1. what is all this talk about Pearl leaving. We just signed him to a big contract. He will be here for at least 2-3 more years. 2. There is really no reason to talk sh*t about Chicago as a whole as cheaters, it doesnt make any sense. 3. I don't know why we are talking about academics as if UWM is the greatest academic school in the world. I would say that over half of my classes here have been Joke classes, and I am graduating this semester. 4. Collins is a classless thug, he looks like Scar from the lion king, and who cares if Bruce and him shake hands. I don't know why we care so much. Pearl was right, collins was wrong. Collins is still wrong for not shaking his hand so it only continues to make him look bad, not us. 5. UWM will be in the tournament this year, not UIC end of story.

On a note of the education level here at campus:
Some of us do take our education seriously and don't look at it as a joke. If some of your classes were a joke it most likely is your fault because you signed up for those classes.
I take pride in going to UWM, especially as an architecture student. I know the architecture school is ranked within the top 20 out of roughly 125 accredited universities in the United States for architecture.
