I will be there super early as well, will the game be on all of the screens or only a few? This will help me get some prime seating.

If you want to see a UWM win live, remember, there are plenty of tickets still available. I am pretty sure UW still has some for sale if you call them Monday morning. Also, there are plenty on eBay for less than face value. And there should be plenty of scalpers needing to get rid of some outside of the Kohl Center for far under face value before the game. Those scalpers buy season tickets and sell the less popular games (pretty much the non-conference games) for really low prices.

You better believe Bo Ryan is sweating it out this week. The Badger's have a huge weakness with pressure D and the press, which happens to be our specialty. We definitely provide some match-up problems too. Despite that, playing at the Kohl Center easilty gives UW the advantage.
Chamblis vs. Hill/Davis - Milwaukee Chamblis better be in good shape because we'll have a fresh body on him all night. Hill and Davis will probably share equal minutes.
Hanson vs. McCants - Milwaukee Clayton is a great shooter, but Ed locks down on D. However, unless Ed starts to get out of his slump this position could easily become a draw.
Morely vs. Wright/Ford - Madison We could have every single position covered, but it is still tough to win at the Kohl Center. Easily this position is in Madison's favor. I could see Butch making an impact this game. Our bench wont cut it either.
Tucker vs. Tucker - Milwaukee It's close, but I'll be the homer and give the nod to Joah.
Wilkinson vs. Tigert - Draw Both could make a difference in this game. Wilkinson always seems to have a good game against us, so it is vital that Tigert shuts him down.
Advantage - Madison. Kohl Center - enough said. We need to look beyond the courtside antics and just play a solid game.
Will Bo Ryan be on the hot seat if they loose to UWM?

Hey UWM Freak have you guys ever gotten a home game against wisconsin or do you guys always have to play them there? If you guys do beat them in their home I could see their coach on the way out. Not going to be easy to grab a win, but could happen.

"Will Bo Ryan be on the hot seat if they lose to UWM?" I think after the last three seasons Bo would have to lose to MU, UWM and GB for the next five seasons before he'd be on the hot seat. This will be a good one. The Valpo and MU losses should focus both teams. I don't believe either team was "looking ahead," but that's not to say the players don't know who's next on the schedule. I think a lot will depend on whether Wilkinson can play effectively. He obviously couldn't in Milwaukee. But he has a few days for therapy so I'd expect him to be well enough. If he's still hurting it makes the Tigert/Wilk matchup even more interesting. I really see three point shooting as a key to the game. UW came out ice cold from three at MU and they spent the rest of the game trying to catch up. But in the last ten minutes they started to find the range. If Hanson and Chambliss are dropping threes it will make it very tough. OTOH, Ed McCants has to break out sometime. Let's hope it's now. After having to watch that travesty on Saturday I'm looking forward to Wednesday. I'm a little conflicted, but I guess that means I can't lose. I think I'm in the second level somewhere for this game. So if any of you see a guy with a goatee wearing a Panther vest over a Badger shirt, say hello.

I cant bielieve anyone would ask whether ryan would be on the hot seat if he would lose to us. Answer No two conference championships in three years, and in my oppinion their most succesful coach ever. Its not like there Notre Dame
This is a tough one for us because wisconsin at home is very tough. As much as they suck on the road. There still a top twenty five team at home. Ed needs to snap out of his slump. He has a big night we can win he doesnt we dont.

spike, we do get wisconsin at home, though it's been a couple years since we've hosted. i believe next year is our turn. if i recall correctly, we have a 10 year deal with WI and host 3 of the 10 games. i could be wrong so anyone who has the exact info feel free to correct me.
as for the game (which i'm going to!) i'm really not sure what to think. thankfully i didn't get to hear too much of the debacle at Valpo. when our defense doesn't come to play we aren't going to beat anyone, certainly not wisconsin on their home court. honestly, it's going to take an A game from milwaukee and less than an A game from WI. Ed and Boo need to find their shots - especially Ed, Joah and AT need to continue their stellar play, and we'll need McCoy and Ford to provide competent play. wisconsin looked terrible saturday night and i'm afraid they're going to come out looking for some redemption. but overall i do think they're a very beatable team and milwaukee has the talent to win. it would be a hell of a thing to see their home winning streak snapped by the panthers.

I think our series is 1-4. The life of the mid-major...
There should be requirements on major programs to play on the road during non-conference. I think MU only played 1 at the powerhouse of Oakland.

In the past 4 years most of our games have been close. We almost had them 4 years ago when our last home game was, but were upset by a turnover for a walk in layup (this game was also while Bo Ryan was our coach). The most recent 3 games have been at the Kohl and they too have been somewhat close, but largely decided on the line for free throws. We seem to f' it up everytime in fouls.

Will Bo Ryan be on the hot seat if they loose to UWM? Later, UWMfreak Come on Nick! Whatever you are drinking, put it down immediately. And then go see a doctor! As for matchups, I think your're being a little biased towards us. I see it this way: Backcourt: Push. Yes, Hill and Davis will run Chambliss around, but he's not exactly chopped liver. Hanson is a great shooter and he will get his points. Ed must step up and at least match Hanson's production. Frontcourt: Advantage Wisconsin. This is assuming that Wilkinson is healthy. If not, it's going to be closer, but Alando Tucker is a great player, and he's going to make things tough for Joah. Wisconsin has some serious size down low, and we need to get to the glass. Coaching: Push. Two great coaches and motivators. I hope both are in place for a long, long time. Intangibles: HUGE Advantage Wisconsin. 32 in a row at home? This is a team that is very confident at home. They are ging to be slightly ticked at losing they way they did against Marquette. I expect a very physical game from them. We're going to have to play our best game of the year. We've looked great in spurts, but Wednesday we need to play as we can for 40 minutes. A few keys: 1. 3-point shooting. We need to hit our open looks. The 3 pointer is a great equalizer. 2. Rebounding. We simply cannot allow Wisconsin to get multiple attempts. We need to crash the defensive glass. It's been a problem thus far this year and we will have no chance at winning this game if we give up multiple offensive boards. 3. Turnovers. Simply, the press must work. Furthermore, we need to limit our turnovers. It will be the largest crowd we've played for this year, and make no mistake, it will be hostile. We must liimit turnovers. I think this is definitely possible. If we play our game, and play to our ability, this is a game we can win. We can force Wisconsin into a subpar game, but obviousy we need to play great to do that.

It is crazy to think that Bo Ryan would be fired after how well he has done with the program. A loss to UWM would not be nearly enough to be cause for a firing, especially with his performance the past three years. It is tough for any coach to deal with the loss of a star player with the caliber of Devin Harris. Just look at Marquette last year with the loss of Wade--they went from Final Four to NIT, and if Crean went anywhere it would be up. That would be like saying Bruce Pearl should be fired if we loose to Youngstown state--which we did on the road last year. UWM has a great team this year with a lot of potential. If UW looses to us this year, it is a lot different than in some of the past years.
(But I guess playing on the other side of the fence--look at Ty Willingham at Notre Dame... He had a very good record in the short time he was there but still got the axe. But Notre Dame demands perfection in their football program).
