It is amazing that UIC is considered our worst loss by Mr. Lunardi....... Seems that their RPI is not to good (141)......... And Detroit is our best win (127). It is too bad that the HL is having such a down year as far as stong teams - even if we win, it doens't help us, and many times hurts us. I guess now we know firsthand what Butler has been through in the past. sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology#

When I first saw that I also was shocked that UIC is UWM's worst loss.
Then I listed them: Southern Illinois N.C. State Wisconsin Santa Clara Air Force UIC
Yeah I guess in that list UIC is the worst team.

State Wisconsin Santa Clara Air Force UIC Yeah I guess in that list UIC is the worst team. I agree, it is just a wierd numbers game. Here are the RPI's of our losses. Southern Illinois - 23 N.C. State - 18 Wisconsin - 21 Santa Clara - 125 Air Force - 55 UIC - 142 Any of those would have been great wins. And the fact that we have some bottom feeders on the schedule doesn't help. Montana - 264 Prairie View - 303 YSU - 246 CSU - 291 and there are some others in the low 200's.

On one hand our losses really wont hurt our chances at an at-large bid. But our 4 victories you posted with RPI's at the bottom of the NCAA, will not help our case whatsoever!
I think the Manhattan game is a must win if we want an automatic bid. It will surely give us our best victory, and boost up our RPI in to the low 40's-high 30's.
Later, UWMfreak
