Kalombo Kadima won his spot in UW-Milwaukee's starting lineup with his defense, but it was on the offensive end that he gained the respect of UW-Green Bay on Saturday night at U.S. Cellular Arena.
The Panthers, 10-0 in the Horizon League, opened still more daylight between themselves and the pack with an 81-70 victory over the previously second-place Phoenix. Green Bay gambled that it could leave Kadima open on offense, doubling down on Dylan Page, the Horizon League's leading scorer.
But Kadima, who entered the game averaging just 5.3 points per game, foiled the strategy with 22 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 4 of 4 from beyond the three-point arc.

MILWAUKEE — Say goodbye, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay men’s basketball fans, to UW-Milwaukee.
Consider the Panthers as good as gone from the rest of the pack in the Horizon League.
There’s little chance anyone — especially UWGB — will catch the first-place, unbeaten Panthers.
