How come the Journal/Sentinel doesn't have a box score in the paper (on-line anyways)? What's up with that?

Great way to start the beginning of the season with a blow out.
"Ed McCants led the Panthers with 17 points, while Boo Davis added 16, Joah Tucker 14 and Derrick Ford 13. Adrian Tigert had a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds." Ed was on fire...17 points and did not even play in the second half.
Lots of weapons this year. We still need to see Boo and Ford is a much more challenging game, but what I saw last night looked good! ;D I believe every single one of Ford's points came on a dunk. 6'10, smart D and can throw it down! No more missed lay up at N.D.
This illustrates my feeling on our team this year:
Teams will not be able to run with us. It appears as if we will have the best guard duo (more like trio) in the conference.
Let's not get too excited, but I think we can all agree that our new additions looked good last night. The best part is...no one in our conference knows about them! ;D
Projected Line-up: Davis McCants Tucker Tigert Ford

It was an awesome game, but could you really take those guys seriously with them wearing practice jerseys. Everyone looked really good! Ford probably impressed me the most with his inside play. One question, does anyone know the status of Rob Sanders? he went down at the end of the game looked like his shoulder again .

All I've got to say is "Chicken & Biscuits" !!!
WTF?! Hopefully Ford will be our Col. Sanders this year.
Next thing will be ... "That bounce pass brought to you by Harley's ... the store for men."

Sanders shoulder...yes, unfortunately. Still waiting to hear more details on it. I think my 7th grade traveling team had better uniforms than the world all stars. The Popeye's Chicken ad was ANNOYING! Easily the fastest, most athletic team we have ever had. Cant wait until Lawrence comes to town... -UWM freak ps. Great meeting you last night Dunnz!

Nice game last night, but that team was horrible. Ford and Davis both impressed me last night. It looks like the rotation they played with in the first half should be the main rotation for the sason w/ Pancratz, Wimmer and Hanson getting some spot minutes. I also think Hanson played well, that being said, Hill and Hanson had a tough time with Winston last night. It was good that at least the PG's had a tough matchup with Winston.
The announcer last night was pretty good, a lot better than the usual hack UWM has ;D.............j/k uwmfan!!

it was a pretty nice game, however it was really hard to gauge things cause that team SUCKED! i thought Ford looked pretty good. looks like he needs to be a bit more aggressive but that'll come. i wasn't very impressed with McCoy at all. he showed glimpses of being a decent player so i guess we'll have to wait and see. Hanson looks like he has potential to be special. obviously he's very young and it will take time, but you can just tell there's something about him.
all in all, good to see them put up some points despite some very sloppy play. i look forward to seeing them play some real teams.

Kingsbury....
Ouch man!!! Who ended up doing it, was it Jason Clark? Bummed I couldn't make it, but maybe it's a sign of what should be!
Great to read about the win. How many fans were in attendance? Was it a good crowd?

Maybe the other team appeared to be terrible because we were that good. Seriously, when was the last time we had this kind of quality depth, size at all positions and athleticism. Off the top of my head, I'd say never. The starting lineup appears as if it will be Davis at 6-3, McCants at 6-3, Tigert at 6-8, Tucker at 6-6 or McCoy at 6-9 and Big D at 6-10. Trust me, we'll be a matchup problem for a lot of teams. As for the announcer, he sounded suspiciously like the longtime Voice of the Arena.

No ... that team was terrible. But better than the "all-star" team UWM played last year.

there were just over 1,700 people there. it's pretty much what i expected to see for the first exhibition game of the year. i did spot George Karl in the crowd.

Honestly, I don't think there's any way there were 1,700 in attendance last night. That seems overblown by about 1,000. There has got to be a better way to get the word out about this team. It remains Milwaukee's best-kept secret. Frankly, the team deserves better.

I wonder if they counted the season ticket holders that didn't show up. I know my section is usually 3/4 filled with season ticket holders and there were maybe 20 or so in the whole section. I will agree with around 700 or so there.................hey but at least I didn't have to wait in line to get a beer this game .

No more than 700 people there last night. I thought Boo davis looked very good. I didn't know he could shoot the outside shot like that. Granted it was the first game and it was going to be sloppy, but I don't know how everyone can be so impressed with Ford. It did seem that almost all of his points came from dunks. He looked slow and lathargic out there. I'm not down on the guy, its just that he seems to have been built up quite a bit higher than he should be for the time being. Tigert did not play that well either, the stats are misleading. Hanson looks like he will be something special, wish I would have seen more of Hill. Boo and McCants are going to be quite a tandom on the floor though. I really could see Davis emerging like McCants did last year.

Fan22, the fanfare over Big D exists simply because he's the type of player we've never had at this university. Long, physical, intimidating. He wasn't credited for any blocks in the boxscore, but he altered several shots and was an imposing presence on the defensive end. Offensively, there's clearly room for improvement, but wouldn't you have loved for several former players to have been such forceful finishers. If he pulls down eight rebounds a game this year and scores 10, all on dunks, I would be thrilled.
