SDSU was suppose to have a tranistion period of 5 years to make the move from DII to DI. I was under the impression that this was the 5th year, but accoording to the Website, they went full time as of 7/1/04. I would assume that since they are D1, the game would count for RPI, but I thought I read somewhere that the first year would not count towards RPI, but who knows.
As for Valpo, the contract was written that they would have back-to-back home games for these 2 seasons, I wounder if that means that UWM will have a back-to-back

I sure hope so, Kingsbury. Valpo still remains one of the models for so-called mid-major success and it would be great to keep them on the schedule. However, wouldn't it also be great to see teams like Creighton, Dayton and eventually Gonzaga on the home slate? I had heard long ago something about a proposed Panther Invitational at the Cell that would have included teams like Creighton, Dayton and Valpo. Had anyone else heard anything to that effect? Obviously, it didn't come about for the coming year.

I was talking with an assistant today and the schedule is set, they will release it in a few days. We are playing Kansas at Kemper Arena in KC on ESPN on Dec 11. (woo hoo). St. Louis is away, with a return game next year. Montana is out. Valpo is still in. Along with Wisconsin, Pudue and Manhattan all on the road, this is a tough schedule. Air Force is the only non conference home game of note. Next year, the home games will be better with St. Louis and Wisconsin both coming here.

Great news about the KU game. Anything mentioned about Washington State? (home and home)
