A man goes to the Chicago Bear ticket office and inquires about purchasing play-off tickets. The ticket teller replies that there weren't any tickets for sale because the Bears did not make it to the play-offs.
The following day the same man goes to the Chicago Bear ticket office and inquires about purchasing Bear play-off tickets. The ticket teller politely replies that there weren't any tickets for sale because the Bears did not make it to the play-offs.
This goes on for an entire week. The man goes to the Bear ticket office inquiring about play-off tickets and the teller says none are for sale because the Bears did not make it to the play-offs.
Another week of this goes by and the man still is asking the ticket teller about Bear play-off tickets. Finally the ticket teller in a loud voice says, I'VE TOLD YOU FOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS THERE WERE NOT ANY TICKETS AVAILABLE BECAUSE THE THE BEARS DID NOT MAKE THE PLAY-OFFS.
The man replied, "I know." I drive all the way from Green Bay just to hear you say that!

Leave it to someone from Green Bay to waste eight hours everyday driving, when the telephone would help accomplish the same task in no time.

I'm pretty sure it's a joke, Don. And I could walk from GB to Chicago in 8 hours SRT4Driver...2 hours flat driving.

I suppose this joke is funny if the Packers could beat the Bears in a meaningful game. Time will tell when that'll be.

One can only question whether either of the games this season were truly meaningful. Judging by the Packers' home game against the Giants, I'd say they weren't

Right b/c the Giants had no part in giving the Packers a home game right? Packers were scheduled to play at home all along

But he does have a point, cause if the Packers would have beaten the Bears both times during the regular season, the Pack would have gotten home-field advantage. Thus, not requiring the G-men's upset of those 'Boys from Big-D.

To be honest, I'm not so sure we're that much better off. All the stigma surrounding Texas Stadium and us not withstanding, I'm sure we could have gone in and beaten them anyways.
Holic's just singing the same sad tune...he lives in a state where we never cared for the rivalry we had with his team until one year when our coach perceived a cheap shot (it wasn't a cheap shot) and they won the Super Bowl...kind of how the Red Sox fans would feel every time the Yankees would win another AL East, it just gets depressing after awhile...then 2004 happened. Of course, that's if the Yankees didn't care at all about the Red Sox, like the Packers-Bucs "rivalry."
Chin up, holic, the Buccs are putting the pieces together for a championship run in the next few years.

I suppose this joke is funny if the Packers could beat the Bears in a meaningful game. Time will tell when that'll be. It must suck being a Bucs fan surrounded by Packer fans right now. I could say I feel for you....but I don't! p.s. remember when you told me that Chris Simms and Bruce Gradkowski were the future for you? p.p.s. Yeah, I couldn't resist bringing that back up!

p.s. remember when you told me that Chris Simms and Bruce Gradkowski were the future for you? Over the past several years, it has been a nearly endless source of entertainment for me when game announcers, in bringing up Brett Favre's longevity, display a list of all the men who have started at quarterback for that week's opposition since Brett began his games started streak.
i wonder if anyone has bothered to gather all those lists and post them in one place? That would be hours of utterly pointless but amusing work.

Sure it meant a little more to me but in the grand picture it was as important of a division win as against the Vikes, Bears and Lions. Hell it was more of a media rivalry for Sapp and Favre and it was a friendly one at best. Don't ever speak for me. As for Lou - I joked about Gradkowski based off of what he did against the Aints in his first game but yes I did drop the ball on Simms much like you wanted to start the Avery Smith fan club oh yes, two can play this game
