I'll go, if anyone else is interested. But no, I will have to pass on the open run.

I may go, but I am not sure yet........tickets are kinda expensive ($17 - $50)....... Don't mean to sound like a tight ass, but there are other things I would rather spend my money on - and I can easily watch this "game" from the comfort of my own couch, drinking my own beer. ;D. God knows ESPN (et al) will be showing re-runs late night for the next 9 months. I am currently trying to find a "hook-up" for tickets.....

The bricklayer is especially appropriate!
I will also see if I can arrange a hookup for tickets. No way I am paying that much.

Glad I am not the only one who this this "entertainement" is a bit overpriced. But I can't lie, it would be fun to watch this event.....especially the open run (but I know I can't make it for that ). To bad Headache isn't still on the team......I would have him hook us up! haha

Lou, you shouldnt want to play anyways, since I dont think they would let you play with a beer in one hand.
i definately would never pay much of anything to see this 'game' played.

Although most, if not all, of the And1Streetball crew would have a hard time getting PT at any upper level DI school (arguably any organized program), due simply to the nature of the "real" game, it is undeniable that these guys have unbelieveable skills (not necessarily traditional basketball skills, but skills nonetheless), and many have extraordinary athletic ability - not to mention that many appear to be headcases. I classify this in the same class as Slamball (if any of you remember that)........not really basketball, as we know it, but very entertaining anyways - at least it is entertaining to me. On a side note, I like to think of myself as having at least some "skills", and I can't even imagine trying to do some of the stuff these guys do with the ball, not to mention the fact that they make it look easy (which it is definitely not).......I know, I know, it is a travel, double dribble, carry, whatever.......it is still extremely hard to pull that stuff off. Can you imagine Boo (or whoever) catching the ball on the wing, squaring up to the basket, eyeing his man up, throwing in a few jab steps, then pulling the defenders jersey up over his head so he can't see, then bouncing the ball off his defenders forehead (while he still can't see), and then blowing by him and dunking on someone? I bet that would even get the "old" people up off their butts! haha

I bet that would even get the "old" people up off their butts! haha Actaully, Boo is the one guy I COULD imagine doing this. Boo, if you are reading this, please try it only against Parkside or SDSU, ok?

It would be great if Boo pulled it off..........but I was thinking this would be even better if done by say.......Mark P., or maybe Luke H.

pnthr30 - Let me know if you want to go to this...I'm very curious, I have seen the Globetrotters before so I thought this would be interesting to in person at least once. I admit I do own a couple of the DVDs and when channel surfing and one of the million re-runs are on, I get stuck on ESPN or ESPN2 watching. I'm also curious who from Milwaukee gets to play in the game.

Is there a possibility that Tim "Headache" would be in the run... kind of a coming out of retirement thing.... I don't even know where he is these days.

Is there a possibility that Tim "Headache" would be in the run... kind of a coming out of retirement thing.... I don't even know where he is these days. As far as I know, he is in New York.......where he grew up. He made a cameo appearance in a music video a while back, played on the And1 tour for a while, I think he had a stint with the Globetrotters, and had some "business" plans, but I haven't heard from/of him in a while, so I don't know exactly what he is up to. Most recently he was waived from a USBL team in spring. Here is his website.... www.headache13.com/Here is some info. www.hoopsvibe.com/tim-gittens-aka-headache-article-13458.htmlIt would be pretty funny if he showed up in town and played in the open run! haha
