Ironic that this year's "Cinderellas" are Clemson and Alabama! NC State?

While there are no true mid-majors to root for in this year's Sweet 16, let alone the Final Four (IDK about Gonzaga), I am pulling for the power conference teams that have not been there in a long time. At the 2017 Final Four in AZ, fans of programs that had not been there much, like Gonzaga, Oregon and South Carolina were a lot more excited than those from North Carolina, who appeared to take it for granted. I am hoping for more of the same this year.

That said, hard to call them a mid major when they might be the best program in all of college basketball. Probably number 2 behind Kansas. 9 straight sweet 16’s.

NCState knocks out Marquette Thus sparing fans from years of hearing about an MU final four run.

You might hear from MU fans about this year's Sweet 16 run. Remind them they haven't beaten a single digit seed in 11 years and counting.
We are - (clap clap) - Overrated!

Purdue is a win away from its first trip to the Final 4 since 1980.

UConn just went on a 30-0 run against Illinois. Absolute insanity and an entertaining game.

It’s amazing just how much that one day of practice at the OHOW Center helped them. I think we can all agree that UConn owes us at least a few million dollars for that.

UConn is absolutely destroying Illinois and this is a very good Illini team. I don’t see any other team that can beat them if they play like this.
