Do we really have to review a normal push off? This was mind-boggling. It was a foul on Pratt. Just because we have the technology doesn't necessarily mean we need to use it.

Perhaps the contact looked different in person than on TV. I thought the review was warranted. While awaiting the outcome Scott Warras speculated they would call it flagrant.

No one loves the monitors more than HL officials. Regulation games lasting longer than 2 hours is not great.
BJ hit 'em with the mailman pose!
If we cant get a QF home game, give me a game in GB.

PFW is one of the worst defensive teams in the country, Did BJ have a good offensive game 100 percent. Did they cook him for about 10 straight points in the second half also 100 percent. I actually wonder if some of you get off on trying to refute stats based takes by some of us who watch the game closely. Then again judging from the bellyaching about the refs at the game today I assume you just aren't watching whats happening on defense. Of course we will be tough to be shooting 50 percent from 3. We only won by 8 turning the ball over and shooting perhaps our best game of the year. We shot nearly 70 percent in the second half a loss today with that happening would have been an absolute disaster class of defensive ineptness. We gave up 20 points in the first 4 minutes of the second half, things like that are we I and some other posters are harping on, its great and glorious when the 3s and tough shots are falling, but when they arent we almost always lose. Do I wish freeman would go 15 of 24 everygame and offset his defensive shortcomings of course. Or that Ham and EJ will hit their shots also duh I want the team to win. The issue is that wont be the case and its not realistic to expect. IE why isnt Ham playing more, its being hes a limited player on offense and too small to be a major impact defender who plays himself out of position. Did he play good today of course but to expect that of him game in and game out is unrealistic.
Good Win More Davis and Murchison please.
I was sitting in the same arena you were, watching the same game. BJ had 38 pts (2 turnovers) and you still nitpick something. I choose to enjoy watching an offensive masterclass by BJ while also WINNING...you can chose to complain that is fine. We are all free to have our own opinions. I choose to actually post my own basketball takes instead of just refuting what other people post. Theres like 4 posters here who actually come up with their own takes. Half our fans are too busy yelling at the refs I think to even formulate an actual thought on the game. Bolded some key points that I think some posters should try and understand. We have to find ways to win when its not going great and we aren't making tons of 3s. You do that by playing good hard defense and doing the little things.

Yes BJ scored 38 points while having 4 rebounds and 4 assists with only 2 turnovers today but imagine how much we would have won by without him. You give those 24 shots he took to the other starters and that easily turns into 50 points instead of 38. That include the 4 times BJ didn’t box out and 5 other times that he didn’t play hard enough on defense and that cost us 13 more points.
If you knew as much about basketball as Reggie you would see that we were 25 points worse with BJ and that we would have won by 33 without him.

I guess I’m ignorant as to how the tiebreakers work, but aren’t we still in play for the 4 seed? GB lost again today and has to go on the road to Cleveland St and then play us at home. We could be playing Saturday for the same conference record as them. NKU and WSU both have tough games and then play head to head the last game of the season. Aren’t there scenarios where we can still top 4? In short, the first tie breaker is head-to-head record. In the case of a three way tie, the combined head-to-head record would be used. For example, in my scenario, let's say Milwaukee and Cleveland State win out, which would result in a three way tie for fifth. If this happens, Milwaukee is 2-0 against Cleveland State and 1-1 against Green Bay, which would result in a 3-1 combined head-to head record. Green Bay would be 1-1 against both Milwaukee and Cleveland State, and it would result in a 2-2 combined record. Cleveland State would be 0-2 against Milwaukee and 1-1 against Green Bay for a combined 1-3 record. Thus, Milwaukee would win the tie breaker and finish 5th, Green Bay would finish 2nd in the tie breaker and finish 6th in the conference, and Cleveland State would lose the tie breaker and finish 7th in the conference. The next tie breaker is record against the top opponent in the conference. In this case, Oakland is likely to finish first (they just need to beat Mercy). For example, let's complicate the scenario I mentioned above by saying NKU finishes 1-1 in addition to Milwaukee and Cleveland State winning out, thus resulting in NKU, Milwaukee, Green Bay, and Cleveland State all finishing with identical 12-8 records. First we would go with combined records. I won't go through each individual game, but if this scenario plays out, the combined head-to head records would be as follows: Milwaukee: 4-2 NKU: 4-2 Green Bay: 2-4 Cleveland State: 2-4 Milwaukee and NKU would "win" the first tie breaker while Green Bay and Cleveland State would "lose" this first tie breaker. Milwaukee and NKU split the season series, so we can't use that to break the tie between those two teams. Likewise, in this scenario, Green Bay and Cleveland split their season series. Because of this, we would need to go to the next tie breaker to determine who wins the tie breakers between Milwaukee and NKU and between Green Bay and Cleveland State. Milwaukee is 0-2 against Oakland while Northern Kentucky is 1-1 against Oakland. Northern Kentucky would win this tie breaker and finish 4th in the conference. Milwaukee would finish 5th in the conference. Between Green Bay and Cleveland State, Green Bay and Cleveland State are both 1-1 against Oakland, so we go to the 2nd place team. Let's say it's Youngstown State. Cleveland State and Youngstown State are both 1-1 against Youngstown State, so we go to the 3rd place team. Let's say it's Wright State. Green Bay is 2-0 against Wright State and Cleveland State is 0-2 against Wright State, so Green Bay would get the 6 seed and Cleveland State would get the 7 seed. Please let me know if I am getting any of this wrong, but this is my understanding. I put together a spreadsheet that basically lets me project the standings based on guessing results of the remaining games. It's not fully automated like, say, the ESPN NFL projection system, but I think it works. I'm happy to share it if there's an easy way to add an Excel file to a post or share it otherwise.

We could be playing Saturday for the same conference record as them. NKU and WSU both have tough games and then play head to head the last game of the season. Aren’t there scenarios where we can still top 4? Oh, to answer your other question, I think the easiest way for Milwaukee to win the 4 seed is the following: Milwaukee wins out. Cleveland State wins out. Because of this, Green Bay loses out. Northern Kentucky loses out (at Robert Morris and at Wright State) If this happens, there's a three way tie for 4th (after Oakland, YSU, and WSU) between Milwaukee, Green Bay, and Cleveland State. The tie breaker would give Milwaukee 4th, Green Bay 5th, and Cleveland State 6th. Northern Kentucky would fall to 7th (possibly a tie for 7th if PFW wins at Wright State and against Robert Morris). I think this is the easiest way for Milwaukee to get a home quarterfinal game. It's a remote chance, at best.

BJ Freeman's scoring eruption leads UWM to comeback win over Fort Wayne Curt Hogg Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
BJ Freeman sure has made a mark on the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
There is no greater example of that than Sunday afternoon at the Panther Arena.
With the Panthers trailing by 10 points early in the second half, Freeman took over, leaving his imprint all over the floor. He was slashing to the lane, pulling up from deep with a defender in his face, jumping passing lanes and finding open shooters when the defense collapsed.
In short, Freeman was dominating.
The junior wing scored a season-high 38 points to reach 1,000 for his Panthers career and in the process ignited a 96-88 win for Milwaukee over Purdue Fort Wayne.
“That was a very focused and determined BJ Freeman,” Panthers head coach Bart Lundy said.
Freeman hit the century mark in just 53 games since transferring to Milwaukee, a remarkable pace for the feat considering he had only played at junior college in Kansas prior to last season.
Freeman eclipsed 1,000 points on a three-pointer from the wing with 4:25 left to play, part of a backbreaking sequence in which he inserted a dagger into the visiting Mastodons. The triple, Freeman’s fifth of the game, gave him 34 points at the time, a total that didn’t last for long as he stole a pass seconds later and finished a layup through traffic in style – left hand holding the back of his head – to put Milwaukee up by nine.
“I don’t really care. I’m just trying to bring a ring to the city,” Freeman said of reaching 1,000 points. “That’s what we’re trying to do. If it means four points, I’m with it. I just want to win.”
Said Lundy: “We’ve won a lot of games. Twenty-two last year, 15 and stacking this year. A lot of that has been BJ’s play.”
Freeman hit one more shot for good measure, a fadeaway jumper in the lane to put the Panthers up by nine again with 1:59 to play, to finish five points off his career-high of 43, set last March against Stetson in the College Basketball Invitational.
Freeman was cooking from the jump Sunday. The first half was an onslaught from deep – at least in attempts from both teams. The Panthers went 6 of 15 (40%) from deep, while the Mastodons attempted 17 but connected on only four (23.5%). It was Freeman’s scoring – 15 points on 11 shots – that kept them in the mix and allowed them to pull in front, 40-39, at the break.
Mastodons guard Rasheed Bello scored 11 points in the first 4 minutes of the second half after just 5 in the first to put give Fort Wayne its largest lead of the game at 10 points with 16:11 to play.
Then it was Freeman time.
Freeman scored on a layup immediately out of a timeout to cut the Fort Wayne lead to eight, then two minutes later hit a pull-up three to draw within seven. The Mastodons responded each time, though, until a Freeman layup and assist to Erik Pratt for a corner three made it 64-59 with 12:40 to play.
A pair of free throws from Freeman and an Aaron Franklin triple tied the game at 64, capping off a 10-0 run over 1:54.
Dominic Ham, the son of former Bucks player and coach Darvin Ham, drained a three with 7:01 to give the Panthers the lead for good at 77-74. Ham finished with a NCAA career-high 10 points.
After Lundy called out his team’s toughness following an overtime loss to Youngstown State on Friday, the Panthers showed much more of it down the stretch against Fort Wayne. They played as a cohesive unit, allowed only two second chance points and had just eight turnovers.
“I felt like we played a good game tonight and stayed together as a team,” Freeman said. “We didn’t get down on each other. We stayed as a group, kept playing physical and kept fighting back.”
With two games to play before the conference tournament, there are flashes of the Panthers living up to their potential.

Paid attendance: 2,194. One would think GB game will be over 3k...Bart said in his post game to come out and he would not like to be drowned out by green.
