Real work? Lol I would say office jobs actually do work. So everyone who does an office job doesn’t actually have a job in your mind? I understood it as not everyone can rearrange their schedule on a dime. It may be possible for me to get a half day tomorrow if I talk to my manager, but it feels like a really crappy thing to do the day of. Blame the houthi rebels f***ing my work life up right now

They left us with no choice I’m choosing the choice of voicing my displeasure with the timing of the decision and the lack of refunds. The only reasons I’ve missed games since becoming a season ticket holder is being out of town or being at a wedding. And Covid, but nobody was allowed at those games. It seems like others are choosing to let this impact future ticket purchases. You can’t blame them. I’m not sure if you’ve been in the workforce for a while, but even if you do get permission to take a half day on the day you request it, it feels scummy and it definitely isn’t a good look. Especially if it’s for a basketball game.

Important Ticket Information
With our flexible ticket exchange benefit, season ticket members may exchange their January 12, 2024, Cleveland State game tickets for an equal number of tickets in their account for a future 2023-24 men’s basketball game.
Single game buyers and group ticket purchasers can also exchange their January 12, 2024 game ticket for a future 2023-2024 men’s basketball game, but should retain their tickets and contact the ticket office to do so. No refunds will be issued at this time.
Fans with questions, or those wanting to exchange tickets, may contact the Milwaukee Athletic Ticket Office by email at uwmtix@uwm.edu, or by phone at 414-229-5886 beginning Tuesday, January 16.

This is also going to be the 2nd 2pm tip off and after various games at the Kcenter over the years I dont see the value in continuing to spend for the premium seats that I do.

What am I supposed to clone myself so I can watch the same game twice? The right thing to do would be paying your most loyal fans the ticketed price for this game. I already have what I consider the absolute best seats in the arena.

I'm officially going. If I work, I'm leaving early. If work is called off, Major Goolsby's before the game.
I wish this decision would have came out early this afternoon. I wouldn't blame Milwaukee. I'm sure game officials, arena staff, CSU all had to sign off on this.

You get PTO, might as well use it when you feel.

I already have what I consider the absolute best seats in the arena. Same here. I used to buy two season tickets a year, but I found myself getting stressed about finding someone to go with every game. If I wanted two tickets for a game, I’d buy them. There’s a reason I bought what I bought. The ONLY way I could see a ticket exchange being beneficial is if we can use it for the first round game of the HL Tournament (assuming Milwaukee finishes 1-4 or 6-8). But I’m guessing this is regular season only.

Yeah and maybe I’ll change my mind tomorrow but there’s a difference between giving your work even a day’s notice of PTO and not giving any notice until the day of. To me, the latter is for emergencies.

Its also mostly about the timeline, This should have come across LAST NIGHT, not tonight.

A basketball game is never a valid emergency for missing work with less then 24 hours notice. OR maybe it is if your job isnt that important, but when I take off im missed at my job. Good lesson for a youngin like yourself make yourself irreplaceable at your job.

I suppose I understand especially as they are saying the evening will be the worst of it, but the snow itself is starting at like 5:00am.
I don’t envy people that make these types of decisions because making a change is a pain in the ass. You want to give as much heads up as possible but forecasts can change and it also stinks when you postpone or cancel and then it ends up not being that big of a deal.
All that said, there was certainty that Friday evening would be the peak of it 24 hours ago, I’m surprised they didn’t make the call earlier…it could also be a scenario where CSU waited to approve the change who knows.
