25. Steve McWhorter, Racine native and a transfer from Indiana State who was the lynchpin of the Panthers 2014 Horizon League champs. Tiby was the vocal leader, but Steve was absolutely the steadying influence, keeping everyone focused on the court.

24 ...
Boo Davis! Critical piece to our glory years. Averaged 16.3 points and 5.1 boards per game as a senior. Second-team all-league (should have been first). Scored 26 points and added 6 rebounds in our 82-74 win over No. 21 Oklahoma in the 2006 NCAA Tournament. Still holds a share of the Kohl Center mark for 3-pointers in a game with seven in 2005. Named to the 2006 Horizon League All-Tournament Team. Also a tremendous perimeter defender.

24. Points scored by the Mayor of MKE and my guy Angelo Stuart in last season's opener vs MSOE. Senior leader and Ambassador for the program. There will be a game or 2 where his perimeter shooting is the difference.

All right let's not with the every day thing. Let's make it fun. Every day give us one thing that you're excited about for Panther Basketball. Jimmy's best post ever? And it did not even have to be several paragraphs long! 😉

The number of wins the Panthers had in the 1992-93 season when they went 23-4. The team was paced by Racine product Eugene Sims and Milwaukee products Mark Briggs, Marc Mitchell, Craig Greene and Ray Perine. Both Mitchell & Greene averaged over 16 points per game and the games often began with a Mitchell-to-Greene alley-oop. Highlights of the season were a thrilling overtime win over Green Bay at the Milwaukee Arena and a 77-72 victory at the Fieldhouse in Madison over a Badgers team led by Michael Finley and Tracy Webster.

23. The largest deficit overcome last season at Northern Kentucky in a massive victory. The birth of the Lundy Griddy. Hopefully we got out of the slow first half starts that plagued us a lot last season.

23. The Ant Hill. Nuff said. A few other things on Anthony's senior year: 1, His best game was surely his 29-point, 15-rebound, 3-block outing vs. Green Bay in February, 2011 at the Arena; 2, He became just the fifth Milwaukee player to be named first-team all-league (five years later, Matt Tiby would become the sixth and most recent).

Ed McCants. One of the two or three best shooting guards in program history. Scored 26 points, including 5 of 9 from 3-point range, in an 11-point loss to No. 2 Kansas in Kansas City on Dec. 22, 2004. Scored 21 points in an 83-73 victory over No. 23 Alabama in Cleveland on March 17, 2005, the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament win. Scored 18 points two days later in an 83-75 victory over No. 10 Boston College, helping lift to Milwaukee to its only Sweet 16. Two-time first-team all-Horizon League and two-time all-Horizon League Tournament team. Associated Press honorable mention All-American (2005).
