He was still fun to watch, and loved hearing him being introduced as "from The Bronx, New York." As opposed to The Bronx, Fargo?

I haven't been this excited coming into a season since probably 2008 when I bought into the Simeon kids and Torre Johnson hype. Let's have a season Guys! See you all in Indy.
Edit:(I already forgot about PBJ)

I wrote this up after watching a little more than half of the ProAm games. Here’s an outlook on the 13 of our guys who participated:
Gruber Law: - Faizon Fields: Nice inside-outside offensive game. Most effective in the post, but can and will splash a 3 when the defense is caught slacking. Rebounding ability will fatigue after playing 10+ minutes straight. Ball handling ability is fine—unless he’s the one taking the ball up the court. - Zach Howell: Shown to be a good defender in short stints, shooting can take a bit of time to find the rhythm though. There’s definitely a role for him if he gets enough shots up in practice.
IWB Sports: - Markeith Browning II: Table-setter in the sense that he can light the spark in a game. Impeccable alertness. I expect some sort of all-Horizon honors to be awarded to him this season. - Simeon Murchison: Didn’t get as much playing time as I’d have hoped. Showed glimpses of stardom. Could be an effective role player this coming season for Milwaukee, but being fresh out of high school, he’s still reaching his full potential—which I see being all-conference at some point.
Nicole Ellis: - Learic Davis: High-motor, high-energy. His game is incredibly polished for a freshman. Fundamentally sound, plays 94-feet whenever he’s on the court. Probably annoying to play against, but that’s just what happens when you go against a talented hustle player, glad he’s on our side. - Darius Duffy: Free throw shooting aside, can be a formidable rotational forward. Versatile talent. Knows his role, and when needed, he can get a bucket in crunch-time. Didn’t get as much playing time as I’d hoped he would, as it seemed that he deserved more minutes.
Shump: - BJ Freeman: Best player on the floor. I expect him to win Horizon league player of the year. He’ll consistently lead the team in shots taken and points scored. - Elijah Jamison: Incredibly mature. High basketball IQ. By watching him play you’d think he’s a couple years older. Good things just happen when he’s running point.
SkyGen: - Dominic Ham: Can really put the clamps on. Never half-stepping whether it’s warmups or in-game. Deserves minutes, even if it’s just to slow down an opposing scorer. - Erik Pratt: Can shoot himself out of a slump. Seems to have a good connection with his teammates. When challenged by an opposing star, he’s a formidable competitor to rival their point totals in a box score. - Langston Wilson: A but unpolished as a true Center, but an incredible Power Forward who should be able to grow into being a small ball 5. Could dunk of the rim was 12 feet off the ground. Good shot blocker, solid outside shooter for a big. We should be able to get similar output from Wilson as we did Ahmad Rand last season.
Zurn: - Kentrell Pullian: His court-vision was respectable for a freshman and it seems to be improving. Uses his quickness and handles to make taller defenders look foolish when guarding him. If his on-the-fly decision-making improves he’s a force to be reckoned with. - Vinko Polovic: High energy guy. Similar to Ham, he’s provocative-gets the people goin’. Good outside shooter for a forward. If he gets enough rebounds, he could earn a spot in the rotation.

Is it too early to want the 90s Chicago Bulls theme to play when our guys get introduced? #RingSZN

From ring season to a completely dead board. What a disaster this season has turned into.

From ring season to a completely dead board. What a disaster this season has turned into. Activity on this message board is not necessarily a snapshot of the season's success. The lull is partially because some posters have nothing new to debate with each other right now. Also, I wouldn't declare this season a disaster. In conference play, the Panthers are only 40% of the way through and at .500. There is still a long way to go before the book on the 2023-24 season can be written. The relative few of us on this board will be having much to discuss between now and the annual summer lull.

The last two game threads were 5-7 pages which seems a little light for how big of games those were. It's pretty disappointing we went from ring aspirations to hoping we can hold teams under 90 points 😀

Seems like we had activity, but the Packers game on Saturday night cool off Panther talk with some, I'm guessing. The band and students are back. Many seats in the 200 level are sold for Saturday. Could be looking at a crowd of 3K on Saturday. When can we say that!?!

It's pretty disappointing we went from ring aspirations to hoping we can hold teams under 90 points 😀 PNP is right about the Packer game conflict. Plus, the longer game threads usually include several comments not directly related to the game, like weather forecasts and player personnel issues. Also, after a couple disappointing blowout loses, some fans opt to turn off and get away for a while. I wouldn't worry about the recent lull FTA. It has no mid or long term affect on the state of the program. Regarding not meeting "ring aspirations," I blame that on unreasonable fan expectations. I have few expectations going into each season. I approach each one the same, and just cheer my team on, hoping for the best. But that's just me.

I was at the game in San Francisco and Packers playoff football in person takes priority unfortunately for most of our posters.
