We need actual basketball players, not "good athletes". I'd rather have players who are athletic than athletes who are players. And WE NEED SIZE!

Seeing if any rumbling out there for 2024. I hate the bots we have seen on this forum during the past several months. Jimmy, is this another one of your creations? If so, could you please put sirsid to rest? Let interest on the board generate naturally. We don't need this. Lol no the only bot I've created for this board is Pounce 9000 and he's only alerted if xtownfan writes a comment over 500 characters.

Pounce 9000 is more than enough.

Would love for a class to not be filled with portal and juco/d2/d3 guys. We should have no issues identifying high schoolers that can fit in the program for multiple years. I think we are seeing the issues with bringing in a lot of JUCO or guys who didnt work out at other spots. We lack a true team identity and a new squad every year is not feasible for long term success unless your talent level is so much better. Even schools like Kentucky have struggled with that aspect with multiple NBA guys on the same team.

Dont need it to be huge classes but some high school talent should be coming here.

Skipped the Oakland game to check out the games at the WBY at Concordia. Few notes on some locks prospects. Putting all info into the 2024 threat to simplify things. Any word on the 2023 WBY Shootout and any rumblings of recruits for Lundy and Milwaukee currently?

Any word on the 2023 WBY Shootout and any rumblings of recruits for Lundy and Milwaukee currently? Checked out the games this past Friday and saw a few guys with offers from Milwaukee. Trevor polite a 6 foot 6 (2025) guard from homestead had a nice game against De Pere. Did a fairly good job guarding Kinzeger all game while sharing the PG duties on offense. Has a funky looking jumpshot but shot the ball really well on Friday. Still a pretty raw player and his recruiting will come down to his improvement on the jumpshot. Was on campus for the Black/Gold scrimmage. The other 2 Milwaukee targets that played were the 2 from St Thomas Moore. Amari McCottry was the best player on the floor Friday night when he went up against Davion Hannah and Nicolet. Was able to get downhill anytime he wanted and finished at the rim with all different moves. Didn’t blow up the way I thought he would this summer with Phenom U but If Lundy isn’t pushing for him right now it would be a huge mistake. Sekou Konneh is still pretty raw but has the measurables and athleticism to play right now. made 5-6 highlight reel plays Friday running the floor. Will be interested to see how his recruitment goes the rest of the year… in the old days I think a P6 team would snag him late as a backup plan to missing on their first target. With the transfer portal now I’m not sure that happens and maybe gives Milwaukee a chance.

I created a report that gets recruit data (Recruiting "by Team", for now, but I plan to add "By Position", "By Recruiting Class" versions of the same report soon as those could be interesting) from VerbalCommits. extrs.net/Reports/Report?reportName=RecruitingSeems we are recruiting Wisconsin almost exclusively.

Which we should be doing. Even if the most elite prep players in the state go to Madison or MU, we can still get very good players, maybe even steal an elite or two, by selling them on the idea that they can start either as a true or RS freshman with us, whereas at MU, they might not play a lot of minutes till they're juniors. Plus, I'd like to think there are very good players who like the challenge of building a program up and making it elite.

Idc. I just want all defenders. Too much scoring. Get long lengthy defenders in the portal. We will lose so many games because we can’t defend. One off night shooting and we are screwed like we’ve seen so many times. We couldn’t guard a standing tree. Time for these coaches to work hard in the offseason and get busy recruiting and installing a new defensive philosophy

. Time for these coaches to work hard in the offseason and get busy recruiting and installing a new defensive philosophy Installing a defensive philosophy* Its not even that, they dont even do basics like stop the ball on the fast break. Couple that with some key players being downright lazy on that end its a bad recipe.
