Panthers lose 95-68. I was hoping the Panthers could keep it closer, but after the terrible start, this could have gone a lot worse. Hopefully, they’re ready for EIU on Saturday.

Hopefully this game will help the Panthers for the game at Madison. Looking forward to that one already.

The Big 12 post game show is doing a wonderful job of promoting Milwaukee. They just showed the post game press conference. Then they went through the next five games on the Panthers schedule. After the commercial they are interviewing Coach Baldwin. If only we could get this same coverage at home.

True. Yet, Kansas basketball to those folks is what Green Bay Packers coverage is here.

After the game was decided in the opening stages, the team competed hard. Though there was some obvious mental letup by the Jayhawks after the first 12 minutes, Self certainly didn't widen his rotation, so there was some consolation in that. What an unbelievable environment! Put a trip to Phog Allen Fieldhouse on the bucket list!

FYI, the post-game show analyst said he thought the crowd was relatively flat prior to the game, and it took the Jayhawks play on the court to get it going after tipoff.

To give credit where credit is due, Panther historian Derick Kelly informs me (and it's confirmed) that high-flying Ochai Agbaji is indeed the son of former Panther Olafu Agbaji. As Al McGuire once famously yelled, holy mackerel! The Big O!

I thought we played like a deer in head lights in the first half and really gave an effort in the second half. What I was told the bigs were terrified of number#35 and that one of players faked a injury { a senior) so he wouldn’t have to go back out there to play! Now that burns me up I don’t care who’s out there you play for respect and the name on the front of the jersey! We Need BIGS in a major way!!!!!

I'll add to some of Tony's post. The bigs appeared to have stage/Udoka fright in the opening 15-20 minutes. When they played considerably better and more aggressively in the second half, it enabled the team to compete. Early this season, it was said here that the team is vulnerable up front. If only that second-half performance could be bottled.

Abram is noticeably absent this half. Is he injured or is it just CD DNP because of a "deer in headlights" look? His ankle was wrapped in ice after the game. No further word.

"It was great coming in here and having the opportunity to play against a really good team," Baldwin said. "A tremendous effort by them [Kansas] – I think they took us by storm in the first 5-10 minutes of the game where we couldn't recover."
"When you have a team like this with an inside presence that you have to account for and then they are making perimeter shots, it makes it really difficult to cover everything," Baldwin said. "But give our guys credit. We didn't lay down; we continued to fight in the second half. We played much better and the shots started falling for us, but it was just too much to overcome."
