Baldwin was quoted "you can't foul in those situations" when up 3 at the end of the game. That is a fireable offense in my opinion. Holy crap, that is bad. I would hope we don't fire a coach because of that. Many of those shots were when there was to much time left on the clock. That is to early to foul. In the 2nd OT, WMU (Flowers) was dribbling around with 20 seconds left. Usually they say you foul when that team comes past half court with under 5 seconds left. None of that happened last night. Abrams just needed to guard him better. Get in his grill. So, he blows by you. A two point shot doesn't beat you.

I had no idea that we were paying tribute to the 20-year anniversary of Damon Stringer's career game at the Klotsche in this fashion! Damn! Someone give a foul!!! I was at that game!

PBS says that we're a "grind-it-out" team. I actually think we're best when we don't play that way at all!! Push it!!

ESPN pbp had Flowers hitting game tying threes at :06, :07 & :04 in regulation, ot1 and ot2. How do you allow that to happen 3 times without fouling once?

even with those long 3s, we had chances to win at the end of regulation, OT and OT2. we didnt execute.

If they had made any number of free throws they missed, this game would've been won in regulation and the Flowers' prayers would've been irrelevant. One of the worst free throw performances I've seen in a long time!

Don't go by a stat line, as that is when he made the shot, which stats in case that is to early to foul. Many coaches who believe in fouling, say you foul with 5 seconds or less. The three to force overtime was off a loose ball that Flowers hit from NBA range. The three Flowers hit at the end of the 1st overtime was off solid defense in which Flowers hit another deep shot going to his left. The 2nd overtime was with 20 plus seconds left. You usually foul with about 5 seconds left. Abrams defense was poor. Where was the double team to get the ball out of Flowers hands? Make him drive by you! Two point shot doesn't beat you. Yes, I would have fouled in that 2nd overtime as Flowers was just dribbling around. You had to do something different. You are correct, it can't happen three times. 4 times if you want to count the end of the first half.

That's it: you foul at the end of the second overtime or defend a lot better. Given the incredible Larry Bird-like shots that he'd hit TWICE already, I would have sent him to the line and played from ahead.

flowers stared dribbling with 20- seconds left then started to move with about 8 seconds then hit his shot with 4, the moment the ball left his hands i knew it was going in.
