Anyone know why Roy will not play tonight? Scott Warris said it is a coach's decision. And why no Amir Allen? It was mentioned on here that he had concussion symptoms. I haven’t heard anything official. I don’t like hearing Coach’s Decision on our best player from last year. Visions of Jeremy Johnson and Carson Warren Newsome appear.

I had heard good things about Josh Thomas coming out of the exhibition game from friends who went. Having a good game tonight, too.

Te’Jon and Josh look like really solid players, and I have seen them on the hardwood going for loose balls a lot tonight. It’s nice to see.

I’m only going based on what’s in the Cardinal Stritch game thread, though. I have no inside information.

Scott Warras said a guy named "Golden Schlickman" is handling ESPN duties for the Panthers this season. What happened tonight, Mr Schlickman?

Closer score than i'd of hoped for but at least we didn't lose. Really just hoping ESPN figures out these technical difficulties by next game. Having to sit through a whole Bulls game was a real bummer.

Seemingly good guards, neglible forward play and no conscience in attendance counts!!!

Having to sit through a whole Bulls game was a real bummer. I feel like the game wasn’t as close as the score indicated. It was something like a 17 point game when we started bringing in our walk ons. Having said that, Amir Allen’s absence was felt. Our inside game was quite ineffective. It’s really frustrating to see our bigs miss bunnies and not going up strong when they have a decent shot inside. And on defense, the Panthers gave up way too many back doors. Te’Jon Lucas and Josh Thomas looked solid,, and adding our best player from last year, Darius Roy, (assuming his absence is nothing serious) could make our backcourt really strong this year.

That's awesome to hear, only being able to see box scores stinks. Seems like Te'Jon and Josh Thomas are going to dominate the HL this year, could be even better than Roy has been. Once Allen is back our bigs have decent depth, this team should finish a lot better in the HL than most people expect.

Whoa, my friend. Let's tone down the "dominate" talk. After all, we've only played Cardinal Stritch, Concordia and an intrasquad scrimmage. Here's what can safely be said: Te'Jon and J.T. show promise (no idea what's going on with Darius), but it's hard to project how they'll fare against bona fide Division 1 competition. As for our bigs, there seems to be some cause for concern. Prayers for Amir's full recovery.
