I would think this would be for July 1st of 2020. As for scheduling purpose, you can stay at 11 schools. 20 conference games. Keep the round robin. Two less non-conference games to find. 20 conference games would be great. One more guaranteed home d1 game, two less games to schedule. I love this move.

One scenario not yet discussed in this thread is the HL remaining a 10 team conference after the the addition of Fort Wayne. Remember how upset NKU was about the conference tournament selection process?

NKU wasn’t the only one upset. They were just the only one to go public about it.

As I recall, Wright State was also justifiably incensed. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see both schools take flight.

OVC is a football league. Someone better tell that to Belmont. You forgot SIUE & Morehead State.

NKU wasn’t the only one upset. They were just the only one to go public about it. Exactly. My NKU reference was just one example of a reason to anticipate the potential for a departure of at least one program. The one thing that is constant about conference realignment is change.

Watching the press conference, even the mayor was there. Our mayor would be there to figure out how it would have worked with his trolley.

They said specifically in the news conference that Fort Wayne will move to the HL in July 2020.

The more things stay the same, the worse things get for Milwaukee. I had always that of the IUPUs of the world as second rate schools. Maybe I thought too highly of UWM....

One can only dream but one way for Braun to improve her legacy would be to somehow engineer a move to the MVC. Would be great to renewal rivalry with Loyola and even Valpo and have schools like Northern Iowa, Bradley, Il Steve, Drake, Southern Il etc.....MVC, how about adding Murray State and UWM and that would be a very nice footprint.

Interesting how the Valley was vehemently opposed to having an 11 team league yet the HL proactively went to 11. I’m not excited for the addition but I will give them credit for being proactive instead of being reactive, for once.

My guess is that the plan is to add a school like SIUE by 2020 or 2021 and go to divisions. I guess that we would be in the West with Green Bay, UIC, IUPUI, Fort Wayne and SIUE. I sure hope I'm wrong and will be happy to say so.
