Indiana and Butler would be cool but thinking maybe NU with the Baldwin connection and then hence visiting DePauls new downtown facility...

So with the belief that we have the return home game from UMKC, could we play them twice if we were to meet them in the Bahamas Showcase as well?

Are we looking at perhaps Cardinal Stritch or Parkside for our homecoming opponent?

I'm pretty sure the Homecoming opponent will be a D1 school. As for playing D3 schools. That is the way it has to be now, to fill your home schedule. Heck, Rutgers from the Big Ten has a non-D1 school on their schedule this season. I do like that fact if you are forced to play a D2/D3 school, that it is a school from the state of Wisconsin. Keep the money in state. Unlike Alabama football that never pays to play that 1.1 million dollar check for UAB, Troy or Alabama State.

What money?
It astounds me that some people still seem to think we are running a D1 program in anything but name.

It's crazy some of you guys still consider yourselves fans. All some of you do is comment negatively and ignore ANY positive news. But yet these same "fans" who are only throwing dirt and shade on the program want to blame the AD 😂😂 blame yourselves from for being negative, and terrible "fans." You think all those negative vibes you guys are throwing out is cool, it's not, and it's annoying seeing people who are suppose to be "fans" of your team bashing your team every chance they get. Let the other schools fans bash us let's stop during their jobs for them and how about you guys be REAL fans and SUPPORT your team. Instead of always b*tching about what you can't control, Dylan and Fran. You can control being a real true fan, focus on that and quit trying to help turn the program into a D2 or D3 laughing stock. But since you guys want us to drop down divisions so bad how about you just DON'T comment until the move happens. Then you guys can comeback happy you were right and maybe have SOMETHING nice to say.

Uh-oh, dylan and I have been exposed. The fact that the program has fallen into irrelevance, invisibility, and astonishing levels of failure and ineptitude since 2016 has been our fault.
And, of course, the fault of the thousands of other fans who have said “bye bye” to this astounding mess.
We look forward to your further commentary regarding our clear eyed view of the remarkable devolution of what was a fine program. I assume it will be something along the lines of: “Fake news!”

Right because our 4 tournament appearances in D1 history means we can NEVER go through a rebuild period. We're a mid-major program looking to rebuild our program deal with it. The AD is who she is deal with it. We actually have a team with upside and a product to look forward to on the court after a few years of not so great TEAM basketball, and all you can think about or voice your opinion about is how's terrible the program is because how terrible the AD is. We get it she's the worst, NOTHING you or I can do but we can support the team which is not the AD instead of ignoring everything positive and speaking on everything negative. All your grumpy gus comments are annoying now. You guys make it hard to come to this board because all your doing isn't talking negative. What happened, happened. Get over it. Focus on the positive things happening now. Support your team.

Every program goes through down periods, even Bucky missed the Dance in 2018. Problem is, we haven't had consistency over the past few years, outside the miraculous run to the conference finals under Laval, the program hasn't really done much. Last year ended badly, and had the new postseason format been in place then, we would be on a 12 game losing streak. I expect improvement from last year, if only because there is no way to go but up from last year. I will be covering games for ESPN again this season, I hope that the team does well and attendance improves. Frankly there's little worse than looking around at a game and seeing maybe 200 people, I've seen Port Washington high school basketball games with better attendance and Port ain't exactly a powerhouse
