I wonder where Carson will resurface. Perhaps it will be Butler? Or Loyola? Minnesota? Brock could show him proper bench etiquette. You mean it’s not normal for grad transfers who averaged 36 min per game to play 4 minutes and 6 minutes in the last two? I like Brock but have a hard time feeling bad for him. Seeing guys get screwed as grad transfers is the only realistic chance we have to prevent it from happening as much in the future. Unfortunately for him, he appears to be a bit overmatched in the B1G.

Not two weeks ago I was at the Kohl Center and saw Richard Pitino put Brock in at the critical moment in the second half when UW had cut a 15 point lead to 6 and the crowd was going crazy. Brock settled the Gophers with his usual calm floor play and then hit two cold blooded threes in succession. 12 point lead, threat over.
And by the way, he was playing before substantially more fans in that ONE game than we will actually draw to the Arena the entire season. Yeah, I’m sure he’s regretting his transfer after enduring three years of Braun’s assault on our program.
Let’s hope he waves to us from the big dance.
So, just curious, any juniors on our team this year that have already been in college four years?

I guess it depends if you would rather play 36 minutes a game in front of 1k-3k fans or play 10 mins a game in front of fans & most likely get a tourney chance.

Wait... are you really trying to say that he made a good decision transferring to Minnesota? Because he went from having free reign to take any shot he wanted and playing as many minutes as he could handle. To being a guy who sits on the bench for most of the game. Sure, he had two big shots against the Badgers to help them win (which was awesome to see by the way). But then he was rewarded with 6 minutes against Maryland and 4 minutes against Rutgers. I would find it very hard to believe that he was anticipating that type of reduction in playing time when he decided to transfer.
Hell, he’s only attempted 23 shots so far this year in 14 games. He took 24 shots against Green Bay in one game last season.

I really shouldn't be astonished that some of you guys think that a player like Brock would rather be jacking shots in front of crowds in the low hundreds for a team with a small chance of making the tournament* than helping a Big Ten team reach the big dance -- but yeah, I am. Just crazy that a guy with that option would want to escape the sad, losing environment that our AD has so skillfully achieved here in Milwaukee.
The good news is that we probably won't have to worry about out-transfers as much now. Big Ten/Big East options are very unlikely to be on the table any more.
* The Horizon tournament, obviously.

You’re right. Why would anyone playing D1 basketball actually want to be on the court playing D1 basketball. Glad you got to make it to Madison to see Coach Jeter. Hopefully your new team gives you some excitement come March. FYI, here’s the link to their messageboard in case you wanted to start a thread on how great of a coach he is. www.forums.gopherhole.com/boards/forumdisplay.php?3

I not sure I see in where some are making it a case of staying at Milwaukee instead of playing at Minnesota. I think it's a fair question many are saying in Brock's final year he transferred to a school in where he is sitting on the bench.

I wonder how much Brock would be playing here right now?

Didn’t see Jeter (except from across the Arena). I was there as a Badger/B1G/college hoops fan. My son was in town and wanted to visit his alma mater and a friend offered me his tickets. It just happened to be Minnesota playing.
Does it really not occur to you that Brock was just sick of losing? He only got one year in a winning program at Milwaukee before the AD blew it all apart.
If all Brock wanted was to jack shots he could do that at any YMCA.

I don’t think it’s a stretch to infer, from this post and from others you have made on other topics, that you assume your opinions are representative of this board and that consquently anyone who disagrees you shouldn’t be posting here. You are, of course, entitled to your opinion. Fortunately, You aren’t running things, and folks with more time on this board are not dependent on your good opinion for permission to post here.

Panthernation can speak for himself. I'm not sure what you are stating is what he is implying.

I’d be very curious to see these posts you are referring to. I’m just participating on a discussion board about the Panthers. But every conversation seems to get derailed by individuals who continue to come on and do nothing but trash the team, it’s fans, attendance, etc. Sorry for getting fed up with it. And you can stop with the “folks with more time on this board” nonsense. I didn’t join yesterday. And even if I did, so what?? I’ve been going to games since 2004 (when I started college) and have been a season ticket holder since shortly after I graduated. If that doesn’t earn me the right to post my opinion on here, then I don’t know what does. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a say in what year I was born.

Panthernation can speak for himself. I'm not sure what you are stating is what he is implying. Then he can show a little more patience with those who dare to disagree with him. And if any poster irks him so much, it’s a simple matter to ignore them. If Panthernation finds me, for example, he doesn’t have to read my ramblings about Soccer, Volleyball or Women’s Basketball.

I get the feeling you have a relationship with Fran. Let's just put it this way, many are more than patient. It wasn't Panthernation who started the "dare to disagree." It was him more being a doctor to control the cancer.
