You're assuming that Chapman Hall has noticed (or cares) that the program is spiraling downward. Naive assumption. I agree. That is where the underlying problem exists. After 14 years of botching it up, it would be a shocker if this academic bureaucracy gets it right the next time. But as Lloyd Christmas would ask "So you're saying there's a chance?"

I witnessed the EXACT same behavior at Cincy as she "walled" herself off from everyone while watching our women's game on her phone. VERY un-AD like. Her current deal expires at the end of June and she's just a cold fish. Yup. I saw you on TV just behind on her left. Your observation point was even closer at that game than mine was at the Drake game.

If Chapman Hall has noticed at all, there's no WAY that she could be extended for even ONE more year. How few team sports titles have there been since 2014? Ordinarily, I would appeal here to D. Kelly, but he too has left the building.

The department has, of course, been highlighting the press release from the League noting the Panthers are in the lead for the 2018-19 Mc Cafferty trophy on the strength of the results of the fall sports: regular season and tournament titles for Women's Soccer, and a title for the Women's Cross Country team. i expect that would be part of any argument made for extending the AD. When was the previous extension announced? If the department has to wait until after the first of the year even to discuss an extension, the lack of an extension in December can be read either positively or negatively, according to one's opinion.

So here's a simple, straightforward question: what has our AD done to improve MEN'S athletics at the school, a list that includes, you know, THE FLAGSHIP SPORT?!

What are you talking about? That was all taken care of on 3/17/16. Problem solved! No more 20 win seasons. No more high D1 players. And MOST important -- no more bothersome coaches, fans and donors who expected support from the administration for the men's basketball program!
Why are you troubling her about something she already handled?
Now get back to following women's cross country, you sexist.

When you lose your superfans, you are within sight of turning out the lights. Jimmy was the world's biggest canary in the coal mine. And yet, why am I morally certain that the current brain trust views his alienation as a positive thing? Not so fast! Have you seen Jimmy's PantherU Twitter feed? How about this post of his on it of a few days ago: "The Panthers are in some dark days. It's in times like these where fans have to keep positive. I've been guilty of not living that for awhile now. I believe good days are ahead for MKE _MBB and I'll stick with them through the tough times in order to get there." He may have lost his passion for this this board (we know you are lurking out there somewhere Jimmy), but does not appear to have lost interest in the program. I know an "experienced eyewitness" who tells me Jimmy will be at Klotche for the game tomorrow. He will be the big noisy guy, in case you've forgotten .
