I'm not nearly as worried about the TEAM as I am about the PROGRAM ... and I've been to all three regular-season home games. The long-range view is bleak.

Paul
I share your concern. My thing is though that it is not a foregone conclusion, not hopeless and it gets tiring and irritating to see bitter comments on every single post regardless by some. It is like either get over it at some point or move on and away....I think there are a number here who share this sentiment. It is okay once in awhile when something is decent to give a positive comment and not keep beating the drum of March 2016 over and over and over and over and over

i've been to several games over the past few years and the attendance is an obvious issue. its frankly a joke that we cannot consistently draw 2000 fans to our games. what this program needs is coaching stability, improvement year to year on the court, and support from the administration. We saw a glimpse of that latent support when we nearly made the dance as a 10 seed, people started supporting us again.

7 wins, rank of 284, 9th in the Horizon. Average actual attendance 610 per. Well, I wish you could have coughed up the $130 from $75 you were paying. If last year's team was worth $5.70 per game to see, this year's team is worth about $3.00 per game to see.

Ten games in, at 2-8, it's getting even clearer where this season is heading. Third in a row.
The program last suffered three consecutive losing seasons under Ric Cobb. That's twenty years ago now, and those of us who were around then didn't like it, and thought it would never happen again after Bo was hired.
At this point I would say that a reasonable expectation for the few remaining fans is for the current administration to avoid reprising that level of failure.
Reasonable, but based on the evidence so far, not likely.

It is the culmination of 14 years of incredibly poor decision making by UWM administration and the athletic department, along with uncontrollable misfortune (e.g. LaValle Jordan being scooped away by his alma mater during the off season). Some much needed continuity in the administration and basketball program going forward would help right the ship.

I admire our remaining cheerleaders, who surely number among the twos, maybe even threes. They have the confident perspicacity of Inspector Clouseau in ferreting out the cause of the program's fall into historically bad performance and attendance.
So sure, let's just stay with the brain trust that got us into this dire mess. It reminds me of Alice's dialogue with the Cheshire cat -- and the result will be the same.
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?” “That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat. “I don’t much care where–” said Alice. “Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat. “–so long as I get SOMEWHERE,” Alice added as an explanation. “Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough.”

Our group of 6 didn't renew after the price hike. I was planning to go to at least 4-5 games during the season instead. I won't be attending any games this year. First time since 2001 I will not be attending at least 1 game.
It's a shame. I feel bad for the players, not so much for the powers that be.

The price hike is still peanuts in the grand ballpark of things. We taking $130 bucks. Anyways, Just get a mini plan or buy single game tickets if you want to support the players!

If you don't mind the strip search in the lobby, it really isn't all that bad!

i've been to a number of home games so far this year and will be going to several more. I HOPE that we will start to see improvement as we've played some pretty good teams.

If you don't mind the strip search in the lobby, it really isn't all that bad! That process is a joke. Nothing has change from my email last March. It's a joke and does nothing. I stress this is a UWM idea and not a WCD idea. The Admirals don't do this. Buying wands cost $120 each. Do it right or not at all!

The only thing I could think of is that perhaps some people were sneaking alcohol into the game. If wands are that inexpensive, and the reason is that there is a fear someone will bring a weapon to the game, I would think that the staffing at the tables to enter the game could be cut to offset the cost of the wands. It is annoying to have to go through that every time a game is at Panther Arena. You are right; they do not go through this at Admirals games, and they don't even go through it at games at the Klotsche Center so I am with you in wondering why they do it this way. It won't keep me from going to games though.
