I just wanted to state my admiration for the Summit League for its strategic planning and execution of the last decade. I watched last night's title game between South Dakota and South Dakota State from Sioux Falls played in front of an overflow crowd of over 11,000 and it was quite a spectacle. It is to the Horizon League what Loyola is to our program.

Indeed. The Summit League has lapped the Horizon like Loyola and Northern Kentucky have lapped Milwaukee.
That said, if the final had been between Denver and IPFW, that game would have drawn far fewer. An SD/SDSU final is the absolute ideal for a Sioux Falls tournament.
Of course, if the HLT final at LCA had paired Oakland and Detroit-Mercy, I would bet a thousand bucks they still wouldn't draw 5000 paying fans.
