It looks like he visited Milwaukee on July 13th and visited South Carolina today. Tough to beat out a SEC school and Frank Martin.

Weird that South Carolina and a coach that has been there, is still looking to fill a roster spot in mid-July.

www.goupstate.com/article/20160716/PSPORTS02/160719767July 16, 2016 JUCO big man to check out USC Sunday By Phil Kornblut USC basketball coach Frank Martin has one scholarship remaining for the 2016 class thanks to the departure of guard Marcus Stroman and he said recently he might use it if he can find the right player. Perhaps he has identified that individual. 6-9 Ran Tut of Monroe JC, NY will make an official visit to USC on Sunday. Tut is coming off of a visit to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He said he also is considering San Francisco, Kansas State and Murray State. Tut added that Martin has not yet offered him. Tut is a native of Melbourne, Australia and played two seasons at Monroe leaving him two to play at the next level. Last season he averaged 10.4 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. He shot 46% from the floor and 64% from the line. He appeared in 15 of the Mustangs 30 game as they reached the national tournament.

I'm hoping he picks Milwaukee. Can't find when he'll make his pick.

So, if South Carolina will offer, Tut will go there. Let's hope Coach Jordan is on the phone. We want you!

So, if South Carolina will offer, Tut will go there. Let's hope Coach Jordan is on the phone. We want you! Yea, doesn't sound too optimistic for us. Coaches at S. Carolina want to offer but are waiting to see if he gets in academically. Seems like he's under the impression he will have an immediate impact at both schools. Based on the other offers/interest he has received, I would have to think his talents are better suited for the mid-major level, making us the logical choice to maximize his playing time. Hopefully he can see past the "wow factor" of the facilities and playing in the SEC and make the decision that best suits his future. Not saying that's necessarily UWM... but of course I'm biased. Come to Milwaukee, King Tut!

I'll consider this a blessing in disguise. The Prahl twins are in their 3rd year and hopefully we can be pleasantly surprised with them during their last two years.
Tut would have been good to have but I don't think it's necessarily the worst news ever. Happy to know we beat out the rest of his offers. Let'a give the twins the playing time they need with JJ gone and hope they make an Anthony Hill like development.
Hopefully Tut gets the playing time S. Carolina is promising him. I'm a little skeptical based on the majority of his interest coming from mid-major schools. He's a player I'll be keeping tabs on in the SEC. Appreciate him keeping us at the top of his list and wish him the best.
