On top of offers from Cleveland State, Green Bay and IUPUI.

Here’s a question I’ve wondered about but never asked.
Is there any limit, either set by the NCAA or just some kind of practical limit dictated by budget, to the number of scholarship offers a D1 program can make? Or are offers made with some kind of deadline by which a player must respond?
Seems to me that the Panthers make far more offers than they could actually accommodate.
If a team anticipates that there will be, say, three scholarships available, and they offer seven players scholarships, they have to hope that the three players highest on their wishlist will accept. But suppose four or five players decided they wanted to olay on the team?
I realize that some of the offers the Panthers will make are to athletes who are getting many other offers, from schools with better reputations, so the offers come under the category of “pipedreams,” but what happens if more players want to accept the offer than the team has open scholarships?

Is there any limit, either set by the NCAA or just some kind of practical limit dictated by budget, to the number of scholarship offers a D1 program can make? Or are offers made with some kind of deadline by which a player must respond? I don't think there's a limit b/c everyone can only have 13. It's no one's problem but yours if you offer too many who want to come. I'm sure some offers are made with a smaller window of acceptance as a strategic ploy. Seems to me that the Panthers make far more offers than they could actually accommodate. I realize that some of the offers the Panthers will make are to athletes who are getting many other offers, from schools with better reputations, so the offers come under the category of “pipedreams,” but what happens if more players want to accept the offer than the team has open scholarships? Could just be me but I think given the massive amount of transfers over the last few years, I see some offers as a way to stay on good terms with a recruit if they want re-open their recruitment 1-4 years from now. Some were offered right before their recruitment went to the next level and are now out of our reach but it's definitely become more frustrating as to who our actual targets are. I don't think over-signing recruits has really happened since the SEC stopped it in football and that was awhile ago.

I read that Marcus Domask has committed to Northern Kentucky.
So like Grant Basile, he'll be playing against us in the HL.

And apparently Milwaukee is onto to Plan B from Domask.
