I AM flustered.
Folks, we belong on the court with these guys.
I just wish the refs would let us compete.

I think the fatigue of playing 4 games in 5 days is setting in.

Love the fight in these guys....get down 20 and kept clawing back. We will probably run out of gas, but overall pretty impressed with the performance. Something to build on AND 13-19 from downtown is insane with 5 minutes left!

We sure don't have tired legs though.
This three point shooting is insane. 13-19!

86-78 final.
We didn't get the win but this team showed a lot of heart out there and played very well. The shooting was great and if we had a few less turnovers we may have been able to pull this one off.
I'm obviously disappointed in the loss but I come away from this game confident we can take almost anyone remaining our schedule.

Difference 12 turnovers to only 5 for Notre Dame?

12 turnovers is not that many considering the flurry of them we had at the end of the first half into the second.
Many, many things are hurting college ball, but right there at the top of the list are quick whistles and cheap fouls called for minor contact. The players do their damndest to make this game watchable in spite of the odds.
This game reminds me of the 10-point loss at Wisconsin early in the year we went to the NIT. That was an NCAA tournament team were it not for Butler and this team can be the same.

It's true that 12 turnovers isn't a lot but four or five of ours were careless passes that could've been avoided.
That's really the only negative in this game. We played solid.

We showed we belong on the court with a legit top 20 team, at their house. Would have loved the win but I can live with that.

Very encouraging to see that we are beating the teams we are supposed to beat, and competing with the ones we are not. Great game tonight.

Had a great time. This Team fights, which I love to see. These guys were pretty gassed in the second half but they never quit. Notre Dame has at least three guys as good as anyone in our league. There's nobody like Jackson or Auguste in the HL. And Brey runs a great offense. So this result was very encouraging.
Obviously we have work to do defensively, and we may never shoot threes again the way we did last night. But somebody at the JS may want to rethink that nonsense about Valpo AND Oakland being "prohibitive" favorites. I don't think so.

If things turn out as we all hope, the folks on the sports staff will never admit they were wrong. They will simply rely on the ongoing news cycle to overwhelm our memories. If you go back and check, most sports writers who bother to issue predictions end up wrong. And yet we keep reading their stuff.
