There's plenty to say on this subject, but suffice it to say that I've had more than enough of the discarded wrappers, broken beer and wine bottles and potted plants, overturned trash bins and lawn products dumped time and again at my property in the UWM neighborhood.
After the most recent incident, I received some help cleaning up last night after my shift at the store around 10 p.m. from a young lady visiting from Chicago.
Told by a young man who attends UWM that we should have separate neighborhoods for students and adults, I responded: "But I love the community and the university and its vibrancy. I could just do without the vandalism."
I've cared enough to stay this long, but it's really wearing me out. Back in our salad days, we would go out and get drunk, too. But we left other people's sh*t alone!

You get a transient population of nearly 30,000 in an area, specifically people in an age group with poor impulse control, and you will have a few douchebags. It's the way of the world. I also live just a couple of blocks off campus and am not particularly fond of trash in my yard, but that's the price of living in an area like this.
