I know that love 'em or hate 'em everyone's going to be watching tonight. So what are your predictions?
As for me, I swelled with state pride as Jim Nantz announced a Wisconsin starting lineup with players from Sheboygan, La Crosse and Port Washington in it. In fact, I covered Josh Gasser in high school and discovered what the rest of Badger Nation now knows: he's a terrific young man.
As such, I'll predict a lousy, grind-it-out, blood-and-guts affair with nowhere near enough high-flying, alley-oop dunks or one-on-one play:
Wisconsin 75, Duke 74

This is just a terrific game! Reminding me of the Duke/Butler game. I love when National Championship games play out like this!

Terrible blown call.
Ball was clearly off Duke. I have no dog in the fight but I hate when officials make a call that bad late in a game.

5 points given to Duke. The Butler game was brutal, but it was fair.

The other calls, while bad, were all judgment calls. The out of bounds call stands out because I have no idea how in this day and age, with all of the replay angles and HD shots we have that the officials can still screw up a call after reviewing it.

"Duke is Duke ..."
And all that implies.

Can't complain about calls, it went both ways, Duke just played better at the end. Bo sounded pretty bitter about the whole one and done situation. sh*t, even if all their players don't stay for four years at least Duke graduates more than 40% of their players unlike Wisconsin.

Don't be idiotic. Bo was talking strictly about 5th year transfers. He's the only high major coach who is vocal about that because he knows what it does to programs like OURS. Media morons misinterpreted him (some purposely) because it fit the story they wanted to write. Wisconsin had a great year but the gauntlet was just too tough. It wasn't the officiating. It's just that there are only so many Mickey D dominated teams you can beat consecutively when you don't have them. There's no margin for error, and with each game the likelihood of error increases. Even at the highest level college hoops is a rigged system for the very few elite programs that one way or another recruit the best players. If you aren't Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Florida, UNC, UConn you aren't winning the title. Butler and UW took it as far as teams without those recruits can take it. I keep hoping someone can break through. I keep being disappointed. Don't expect it to change so I'll just keep enjoying my teams.

Yep and that has really turned me off from college sports.

Calling someone idiotic is a great post? I think people can make their points without name calling. That has been the great thing about this site!
